Yeah but the trend is more toward bigger swinging volleys look at the young guys like Quong duong and CJ Klinger and Travis Ford. They're swinging huge at the line and ripping the s*** out of it

Technique helps. But I think one is born with fast hands. Take boxers, for example, all else being equal. Some are faster than others.
