The fact that you didn’t mention Nylander for Toronto is crazy, easily the best performer in the playoffs. Has a great mentality, don’t mind calling out his teammates when it’s needed. Just watch the prime documentary and you’ll see. Last year in the playoffs you can see him telling marner and matthews to “stop crying and play the f**king game”.

That's true and he's signed on long term as well. Marner is a toronto-area kid though...good thing they won't have to worry about it for a while because Matthews will be captain until he retires or leaves

I agree with Point over Kucherov! Hard to imagine any captain after Crosby, the guy probably isn’t even in the NHL yet. But needs to go to the new guard, not Malkin or Letang. Great video! Thanks for posting!

Pittsburgh is a hard team to guess who will become the next captain because Crosby Malkin and Letang are all getting older, and our veterans are still the allstars of the team. Especially since Crosby is actually a year younger than the other two.

Thomas will be the next captain of the Blues. He should be the captain now. It's his team, and Schenn is a mere shell of his former self as a player.

@Tijiginlafan It's not just the scoring. He's been by far the worst defensive forward on the team for 2+ seasons now. He constantly fails to catch passes and commits terrible giveaways, etc etc. It's a huge problem, and Bannister is in way over his head.
