The next challenge? Twenty Three before Tea - 23B4T. Fell running in the English Lake.

Watch this before you try it! The 23 before tea is a challenge to run up and down 23 Wainwright Hills in the English Lake District and return to the Elterwater hostel in time for tea. There are no set hills but it is becoming clear which 23 hills will make the fastest time.

This is a great video, showing off just how tough the terrain can be, and how good a runner Julian is! He appreciates that his time can’t make our leader board as he didn’t actually visit 23 Wainwright summits on this occasion. We’re delighted he’s planning to come back for another attempt and look forward to seeing him again soon.

Great watch Julian and a fantastic effort. We may also have fallen slightly short of Nab Scar but can't have been by much. We messed up Stone Arthur a little as we ended up climbing up to Great Rigg only to have to drop all the way down and back up again! Definitely one to try again as the winds made it very difficult in places and impossible once at Low Pike (dropped out and into Ambleside). I assume you went over the wall there? There wasn't a chance we were going over it at the time - never been in winds like it!!

The wind was from the opposite direction to when you did it. I was thinking of your efforts as I ran it.
