Ty going from one of my favorite hitters to watch when he was (rightfully) an All Star to being someone I just hope doesnt hit into a double play whenever he's up with runners on has been so disheartening.

I hear a lot of people give props to our Pitching coaches. I haven’t heard anyone talk about the Hitting coaches. Seems no matter who we bring in to play they strike out a lot and don’t perform to their prior expectations. Most of that’s on the player, but what’s up with the Hitting coaches and game plans? Something to that?

Mitch Garver, Haniger and France are a combined value of -.8 fWAR. To not have a positive value from these 3 combined players, our offense is in some serious trouble

The longer players are with these hitting coaches with this philosophy the worse they get. Ty France is a perfect example of a guy who sprayed the ball around a few yrs ago. Then our analytics probably told him to get his launch angle right. Now look at him

I honestly think if Julio was hitting much better France wouldn't be selling out for as much power as he is. I agree with Brock Huard that if your star performs well everyone else relaxes. France certainly isn't what you want at 1st and he should be under pressure to perform, but what's alarming is his SLG Pct is .345, compared to Julio's .304. Julio's lack of power is the biggest disappointment so far this season. Obviously both players are way too low when it comes to slugging, along with the majority of the roster.

You two are always picking Ty France or Moore. There are many holes in the line-up and the coach needs to shake things up but needs to grow a pair.

Ty France has been a mediocre player since the start of the 2nd half of 2022. He needs to go. You mention he is NOT chasing. And that he is missing pitches in the zone. Put those together and you see a guess hitter. In his efforts not to chase.....he is late recognizing strikes. He needs to go.

When pretty much all the offense is poor, no batter is protecting the batter before them. Opposing pitchers can throw whatever they want because there's no fear of putting someone on base as the batter behind them will probably do little to drive the runner in. This eases the pressure on the pitcher and the game is easier for them.

difference between locklear and france is, france is trying to be the 25 hr guy and locklear is gonna be that guy. except, locklear may be able to tie in a good avg with it. but gotta wait at least another month.

Watching France I see that some balls he hits are doubles for like 80% of other guys in the league. They just play him deep and cut everything off and he isn't able to hit it past them, frustrating as he's the easiest double play on the team too.
