Redviel, Aaron May and JPEGMAFIA are going to have a big run soon I think then JID, Denzel Curry and Kenny Mason are going to be major artists soon. I think we are going to see an emergence of that alternative hiphop sound considering it’s one of the few original sounding rap left in the genre.

I am really familiar with Aaron May and think he is on the comeup but top 3 would surprise me, but do like what he is doing for sure. I think JPEG is probably a bit too experimental but that’s could be exactly what makes him surpass everyone so who knows. Kenny Mason is an interesting choice, I could really see him make a push into the mainstream but feel like he has to develop a bit. Denzel is fantastic and might make more sense than Ski, I’m just curious as to what Ski is doing with this next album.

I think their run will last for like 2-5 years then Redviel and Aaron will take the role. Peggy is a sleeper pick but he could definitely get in there. Icecoldbishop is really good too but he has a lot of development left considering how heavy he leans on the untitled unmastered era of Kendrick

I think a sleeper pick might be Keem tbh. His greatest skill (which all my favorite rappers have over other rappers) is that he can produce like a mf. He only has 1 album out, but the stats for it are impressive and he even won a grammy with Kendrick for it. Aside from the fact that they are cousins, Keem is actually talented and is visually and great artist as well. His visuals, production, wordplay, and overall personality shows he has potential to become a big 3.

Comparing ski to Kendrick is wild lol. I would say JID is the new Kendrick, Saba is the J Cole, not sure about the new drake. JPEGMAFIA could potentially blow up as a more experimental pick. His 2023 colab album with danny brown sounds like nothing ive ever heard before, yet it still hit billboard somehow. It caters to a more gen z sound with nostalgic samples of things gen z liked growing up. If anything JID, Saba, or any other currently main stream rapper might have less chances than someone like ski, jpeg, or even yeat given that we have been hearing “normal rap” for the last two decades.

I love Ski Mask and PG but I don't think they will be Top 3 its reserved for special artist. Who I think will be top 3 is JID, Tyler the Creator, and Playboi Cart. Everyone seems to forget how big Tyler really is and the man is on his own Island when it comes to production, film, and rap. He has a cult following just like Carti unlike any of the Artist besides JID does, his accolades speak for themselves he may have been in the industry for awhile but he just became mainstream in 2019 so I really do think he is our next Kanye/Pharrell

@MattMiranda I don't really see nobody placing Kendrick, Cole, or Drake as far as the "longevity" of being a relevant rap superstar, most of the new rappers that are being hype up as the next "big 3" by the media have either have a promising debut carrer and a year two later there next record doesn't live up to the previous release and later they fall off and never come back (ex: DaBaby, Lil Baby, Polo G, Lil Tjay, etc) or they blow up all the sudden thanks to tik tok and a year later they fall off. With social media platforms still existing and affecting the music industry by supporting mediocracy (such as tik tok) it's almost impossible for a new or non-mainstream artist to have a long term carrer (I'm talking 10-15 years at minimum). Times have changed, and mainstream hip hop right now is dogshit. It's not the same anymore, unfortunately. Right now, I don't see anybody having the potential to replace the big 3 besides maybe JID, but he's been in the game for 6-7 years, so he's not really new so🤷(I still fw with JID music though)
