Vulture and Chameleon absolutely need retro cards. It should come with an older and younger head sculpt I would also love a re-release of Mysterio and Hobgoblin. Like a complete redesign of Hobgoblin with the right head sculpt scales, glider and paint job

Already commented but another good idea is a VHS deluxe Madame Web with her giant chair. It would coincide with the movie that came out and also repair SOME damage that movie did to the character. She'd be perfect for a SpiderVerse display. I'm fine with her just being a single release in a VHS box. That giant chair would make up for the lack of a second figure

I comment this every time the topic comes up (sorry) - but I neeeed animated Blade, Punisher, and ManSpider. Morbius was apart of that, so I'm psyched! I didn't need or want Dr.Stange, but I actually like the purple look so I'll take it haha. I think if Venom VHS was released a civilian Eddie Brock would be cool, but I imagine that would require too much new sculpt. If they did that, I would love additional heads/expressions for Peter, or at least one teeth grit Peter bc every scene was tense during the episodes

@@thestrongcollectors For example, with the Xmen they did the VHS line first but with Xmen 97, they are redoing the figures without cel shading and brand new packaging. The creator of Spider-Man Animated said that he would continue the series if Disney asked him, which probably will happen. So I’m not sure whether to wait for that or just buy the animated figures out today. Also, I’ve heard other KZbinrs say that certain Retro figures are Animated Series accurate or close like Scorpion, Black Cat, Rhino, Kraven, Hobgoblin, Venom so I looked into getting them but I’m not sure if I should bite the bullet or wait for them in the VHS packaging but obviously Hasbro isn’t going to release each one again cause they release about 3-4 VHS per year. Any information or opinion would be helpful. Thanks

We don’t know anything for sure. I will say if it’s a major character from the show or comics, the chances it gets made again are really high. Some figures may come in slightly different colors like doc ock from the spdr vs the 2 pack. I will say I wouldn’t recommend paying big bucks for any because like with retro Spider-Man he was going for over $100 for a while but then hasbro put out like 6 more similar in a year. The retro line seems to be “animated” ish only to the extent that now they can say the vhs line is actually animated and get people to buy figures they already have. I feel like that could be a whole episode and we’d really see Jordan steam.

@@thestrongcollectors yeah certain retro figures like Mysterio, Kingpin and Electro are going for crazy prices on eBay, especially here in the UK, they are over £100 each and others like sandman that never appeared in the show, lizard, rhino and venom are over £60. I have a feeling they’ll remake Mysterio very soon but Deluxe figures like Kingpin or Rhino won’t fit in VHS boxes and as you said Venom is already cel shaded so they probably won’t remake him unless they want to cheap out 😂. It just feels weird that they made a retro animated Spider-Man line but did the figures comic accurate and a few years later started an actual Animated Spider Man VHS line. Typical Hasbro

For example I wouldn't mind if they used the original classic torso sculpt combined with the the widow lower torso maybe ? But yeah something like that . maybe they will give us an all new like curvy/spiderwoman type torso sculpt but with new articulation similar to new widow and double pin would be good. And also they could use that torso over again for a new spiderwoman etc later . But then again me personally I would be happy with a re release of her as well like I said she's over due and I personally also missed out on her originally I know lot of other people did to

Here's one flying under everyone's radar: Spider-Carnage. He may be in a 3rd wave but guarantee you he'll show up and he has the PERFECT civilian figure to go with him: Uncle Ben. We have NEVER gotten an uncle Ben figure. The aunt may doc ock two pack has made me sure uncle Ben is planned by hasbro. And the two pack of Spider Carnage and him makes perfect sense since he was the only one who could "defeat" him. Calling it now. We're getting a Spider Carnage/Uncle Ben two pack. And surprisingly I want Ben more than Spider Carnage. He's too important to Spidey's roots not to have a figure for so long. He is an absolute must in a collection

I just realized a comment pointed it out but these VHS waves have a theme. First one gave us a villain and civilian figure and this wave is giving us a superhero that cameo'd and a villain. So going with this theme im pretty certain theyre correct for a punisher/vulture and Nick Fury/Chameleon two pack. I also wanna predict a third wave. I'm guessing we'll get a spiderman variant with a civilian ally or foe My wave 3 predictions are: Man-Spider and Eddie Brock Battle Damaged Spidey and Norman Osborn Non cel shaded Classic Animated Spidey on RYV body and Felecia Hardy And finally Spider Carnage and Uncle Ben

Also, in my honest opinion, I need to quit with the cell shading because you don't need cell shading when you have a good light to show your figures.It just makes the figure look weird and certain poses and certain light images

That's true. they're putting the shadows on when they are natural. I have seen some incredible cel shading with some custom painted figures on Instagram. They almost don't look real with the cel shading the person gives them.

I think Punisher & Man-Spider would be a great 2 pack (though the size of Man-Spider would limit Punishers accessories probably for budget?) Chameleon & Young Vulture. I also really want a Demogoblin on retro card or whatever (Tarantula was never in the show and got released). I feel like with the recent Blade release they missed their shot on an animated release version for some time now. They haven't made a Punisher in a while though. I haven't purchased any of these 2 pack VHS though. I hate the pairings, and already have the characters I like from previous releases, plus the poor quality like Green Goblin being gummy. I almost bit the bullet on Hydro-man and Daredevil but I'll still wait for single release Daredevil since I could care less about hydro-man.

Tbh i would have bought every VHS 2 pack but i refuse to buy any cell shaded figures. Happy for those who like the cell shaded figures but personally its the only way to guarantee i wont buy those figures. The 90s animated series was what introduced me to many of these characters so thats the style of figures i go crazy for but i really dont like the cell shading on figures

I didn't take it as rude at all. no worries. I actually really like the idea of cel shading it's just that most of the figures that are coming with it I don't really love or it's a mix. I really like the cel shaded wolverine, cyclops, and venom but really don't like any of the other x-men figures, don't like the cel shading on the red spiderman, and don't like that they did another symbiote spidey right after the retro card.

I think that would be fun. It only makes sense for them to do a cartoon red and blue spiderman in the 2 packs since it seems like the retro cards aren't technically part of the animated series... even though a lot seem like they are.

@@thestrongcollectors To be honest...either way. A 2 pack with him and Crusher Hogan would be fun. M.L has already given us a good handful of civilian characters. They are so important in particular to the Spiderman universe. Collectors I think would want them all. Flash Thompson, Robbie Robertson, Harry Osborn, Aunt May (comic version) and yes, Uncle Ben. Without Uncle Ben you could argue that Spiderman would not be the hero he is. He is a pivotal character who shaped Peter.
