Great points made in this video! Put Edey in dunker spot, or let him play from mid post, either way, with his shooting touch and passing ability, he dominates.

The thing is he can shoot. Look at his workouts. People gotta understand that college hoops is way different. They’re going to use to their advantage every time. It’s common knowledge. Why shoot when he can dominate college players in the paint all day

If he can just get a little quicker and shoot the 3 at 35%, he can have a long career in the NBA. He can be like a Brook Lopez, if he can change his game, so can Edey.

Please Memphis draft this man. I paid for a sorry season I earned to get to watch him. I think you assessment is good except the fit on two teams Memphis and Miami.

I hate the concept of the modern center.. it just doesn't make sense..why are they expecting all the big men to be like KD? Why have your center shoot the 3 from the perimeter thats guard territory? They can't move or shoot as well as a guard. A center is made for the low post let him live there or end up there via pick n roll and grab offensive and defensive rebounds. AND this guy is a 7'4 fleshed out man amongst boys. If he lowers his center of gravity slightly like Yao Ming did on his post moves, theres just noone in the NBA who can hold their position against him. Myriads of know-nothings out there touting hes no future in the NBA.. key is know-nothing.

😂 , once teams woek him out , he wont leave the lottery, he moves fine in all but lateral on defense which can be fixed by him and systems. Ex. Gobert wolves this year. For 300 to move like he does with his hands and touch..... I would 💕 Love to see all the Organization silly enough to pass on him🎉 🎉🎉... Seriously...Alien in the Mask👽

I just don't understand the people that say he'll go in the second round or undrafted. Think about all the true centers in the NBA. He's more efficient than all of them except for the superstars. DeAndre Aydon, DeAndre Jordan, Mason plumlee, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter, Jr, Clint Capela. Zach Edey has been doing it without a point guard his whole career. He's been doing it with people that can't get them the ball. I'm not saying he's going to be 25 and 10, but it'll definitely be a 15 and 10 type of guy. If Cody Zeller still in the league Zack Edey will be fine 😂

He is a solid FT shooter which is the best indicator he has the potential to learn how to have an outside shot but that will likely take a few years

I see all of these ppl saying that Edey won't translate because he can't shoot & he's too slow. Those same ppl love Clingan. Mass psychosis is real.

He is massive and plays with force, he will be good if not very good , they will feed the beast. Also they judge young guys shooting potential of free throws, to say he is a good free throw player and also say he isn't likely to learn how to spread the floor a bit doesn't make much sense to me.. I may be wrong but I think he will prove you wrong.

Bro you gotta be a casual, NBA bigs aren't 19-20 year old, but 6'11 men on average. Dude is slow and unathletic as fuck, NBA court is much larger, and he'll be a mismatch party. Then there something called 3 seconds violation, meaning that he won't be able to sit in the paint all day, and will be even more of a liability defensively. Then offensively, dude isn't even that special. There are much better post players in the nba and guess what? They don't get used as much in that capacity because of something called pace and 3>2. No team will sit all day to feed him the ball and watch. Hell, you saw what happened to Melo. You all saw Tacko Fall come and go, so I don't know why the hype still.

Edey's stock will depend on his drills results during the draft combine. If his combine results are horrible he will prob be just s slightly better version of Boban.

Sadly, I don't see a lot of NBA potential with this guy. His game is the EXACT wrong game for today's NBA. It's especially sad because if he came up in any other era before around 10 years ago, he'd be a dominant center, a perennial All-Star, and possible future Hall of Famer. Can you imagine how much of a fool Wemby, Joker, Giannis, even Porzingis are going to make out of him? He's basically a slightly more athletic Boban, which means he'll get ridiculously efficient garbage time numbers which will make the fans cry out for more playing time, only to be exposed for his vast deficiencies on both sides of the court if and when he is given more time. Point blank, he's too slow to be a regular NBA contributor in this day and age.

He’s way too lumbering & slow. No one is going to waste possessions throwing the ball into the post as his post game is also not very refined. Bro has 2 moves. He could def have a nice career coming off the bench scoring 8-12 against the other teams bench units. That’s pretty much the only justifiable way giving him post ups in the modern space and pace league.
