Verbally admitting that he’s swinging ‘forehand’ when a ball is at his backhand and then losing his shit when his character whiffs by trying to swing a forehand is peak Poofesure
@LifelessVeemo2 ай бұрын
Like how does he not put two and two together, he only misses the backhands when he swings at it like a forehand 😭
@joejitsuway9602 ай бұрын
He doesn't like the backhand animation. He thinks it's "wrong".. Whatever tf that means 😂. The fact that it is possible to hit balls on the left with a perfectly timed forehand completely wrecked him mentally.
@LifelessVeemo2 ай бұрын
@@joejitsuway960I see where he’s coming from, I think the extra little swing might be from him bringing his remote over to his left side too quickly and the game registering that as a swing. I’m pretty sure it only counted his forehands as valid because the Wii motion controls are first gen and super jank so it just gives him the benefit of the doubt when it can’t tell which direction he swung. The matter of the fact is, he never actually whiffed the ball when swinging correctly 😂
@sk8sbowlingreviews2 ай бұрын
@LifelessVeemo I've assumed the same thing, even the last few times I've seen him play tennis. Pretty sure it's reading his alignment switch as a swing, then he attempts to swing during the swing animation that's already occuring.
@BlastingXNP2 ай бұрын
Ironically enough, this is one of the times it doesn't matter. The wii remote has no way to detect which way you're swinging. You can hold the remote in front of your forehead and flick, you'll get the same results. It's just a matter of slightly different timing needed depending if the ball is coming from the left or right. The matter of forehand to backhand in Wii Tenis is just animation.

@ImMacke30002 ай бұрын
Poof, i have some feedback that will probably get you the medal: -What you refer to as a "whiff" is when beefboss swings "the wrong way" when the ball is in hitting range. -You are indeed supposed to do an irl backhand when you want beeefboss to do backhand swings. -The game doesnt allow you to swing 2 consecutive swings very close to eachother (unless you fling the wii remote with wii motion plus inside very hard). -The wii usually detects fast movements better than slow ones, thats why it sometimes detects a fronthand when you try to do a backhand, because you moving your hand to backhand position is detected by the game as a fronthand swing. Hope this helps you and beefboss get that plat!

I'm too lazy to find my copy of Wii Sports and test, but I'm assuming that, if indeed Poof has been back-handing appropriately this whole time, his issue with whiffing is possibly because he's swinging too pronounced to set up the back-hand. There's definitely some sort of front-hand like motion because beef boss literally does a front-hand swing before the intended back-hand, causing the whiff. Would make sense considering how often Poof swings too pronounced on his fakes in Wii Sports Resort basketball.
@markymark4432 ай бұрын
That's what I was thinking too, the motion detection is extremely sensitive
@josephcastle38722 ай бұрын
My thoughs exactly. The Wii remote is definately quite sensitive in these games. You definately have to be very careful with how much force you are swinging with and, more often than not, you actually only need a small amount of the power that you thought you had to use.
@chris_aka_CP2 ай бұрын
In my opinion. Poof is just playing wrong. I played this minigame while being in my bed and didnt even swing the remote, rather used my wrist to swing. I easily got to 30-40 every try. I just dont understand what he is doing/how he is playing, that he acchieves such poor results :D

The punching bag one is by far the easiest, I was able to do it consistently after realizing you have to flick your wrist down at the end of each swing. It basically multiplies the force of each punch. Hold the controllers vertically and then flick them horizontal at the very end of the punch and keep a steady rhythm.
