I'm a homer so my opinion is colored a bit, but I think Seattle can take SanFran this year. In fact, I think Witherspoon was a missile aimed directly at 9ers offense, everything else he does is a bonus. Obviously I'm exaggerating, but it makes some sense as to why they plugged him in the slot at camp, positionless DBs out there wrecking those quick YAC plays 9ers like so much.

All depends on injuries. 49ers have been one of the most injured teams since 2013. If they stay healthy they will win the division again. If not, Seattle wins. Seattle has not had as many injuries in years past. Plus how Geno performs is a big indicator.

Seattle vs San Francisco might be the most interesting match up all year. 49ers were clearly a step ahead of Seattle but Seattle played better and better every time. Now that they have gotten better, we can only hope for another 3 games. I think they split the 2 this year. I think that the 49ers had too many weapons last year but maybe Seattle's defensive additions will change that. When 49ers were healthy last year, it was one of the strongest all around teams I've ever seen

For those predicting the Seahawks win the Division over the 49ers: I respectfully request you go through and pick a winner for each position group. Is there some logical way that team A beats team B in the same Division without a majority of better position groups? Ok, so you pick Geno Smith over 49er QBX, fine, and QB is the most heavily weighted position. But how big is the margin? Plus there's about 52 other players assigned per team to each game. And I won't disagree that PC is a better HC than KS but few independents would argue that difference is huge.

The Rams will be better that you think. They still have talent when healthy. AZ is a mess of their own making; Murray is a nightmare at QB. You'll never win anything with a guy who can't stay on the field and thinks he already knows it all. Seattle is 2 years away maybe and aren't as good as the Seattle homers think they are. SF even with their terrible QB play win because the rest of the roster covers up that bad play. No one in this division gets to the SB anytime soon less SF finds a QB and Seattle finds anyone who can stop the run.

I think the Seattle hype train has kind of gone off the rails. Everyone assumes Geno will play like he did during the first half of the season and not the second. Seattle didn’t play well against good teams last year and this season they have a tougher schedule. They will still be a team to take seriously, but I don’t think they’ll be great again until next season or if Geno proves me wrong and plays like he did the first half of the season.

If your team is dependent on rookies to succeed, not just support the success you already have, your team will most likely not be good. And that’s what Seattle is hoping for, for all their rookies to hit to make the a good team. And then also depending on a 34 year old QB to repeat his 1 good year and not his 9 bad. While the 49ers were able to get to the the NFC championship game with the last pick in the draft because the rest of the roster was so great!

Hell, Jimmy Ward was rated a top 5 slot corner. The 49ers gave up fewer passing 1st downs, gave up fewer passing TDs, gave up fewer yards per attempt, and had more interceptions. Seattle only had a better completion percentage (63%, versus 65% for the 49ers).
