This is just gorgeous. His words on skateboarding and how it molded him as a young kid and taught him so many life lessons throughout his adolescence is so beautifully said. This is beyond inspiring. It’s so crazy how my love for skateboarding hasn’t ever dwindled even a little bit, I’m 32 years old and after 20+ years on a board, I still find myself skating 2-3 days a week with my ridiculously busy schedule. It’s a necessity and blessing for me daily. The day will come when I’ll be too old to throw myself down a gap or stairs, but I’ll be damned if I won’t be bombing hills or thrashing bowls till I’m 60-70. Lord willing. I started skating at 9 but I was never too consistent because I played multiple other sports and I am black kid that lives in the hood in NYC. It just shows how many "hidden" skaters we have in society. There are plenty of "sleepers" out there who used to skate and occasionally pick up the board for a few sessions here and there. Many of them (including myself) watch skateboarding videos on a regular basis and can't resist the urge to pick the board up again after enough inspiration from the established skaters. This shit is so good. As a kid that quit skateboarding the day summer camp started for my freshman season of high school football and didn’t pick it back up until I was 25, I relate and understand the love of both football and skating. I’m 45 now and still skate and love football so much.

Let's all just take a moment to appreciate his raw athleticism... As difficult as he says skating is (which it is) I imagine he can put his hands (or feet) on almost anything and be good at it, total control over his body and incredible spatial awareness all on display in this 5 min vid. Just awesome.
