The NH90 Sea Tiger sharpens its claws

The MRFH (Multi-Role Frigate Helicopter) Sea Tiger was developed specifically to meet the needs of the German Navy with a mission system focused on anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare.
On the path to entry into service in 2025, an important step has just been taken with a successful eight-week test campaign that took place from February to April 2024.
All eyes are now on Nordholz, where a full demonstration of its operational capabilities will take place, the last major qualification step before deliveries begin in 2025.
The aircraft will follow an operational flight profile from A to Z, with sonar activity and simulated torpedo and missile firings.
This type of test has never before been carried out on a helicopter.

Only because they didn't maintain them well and didn't get the updated software packages. The Royal New Zealand Air Force and many others run them very well, with excellent servicability and reliability.

No. They retired them because they wanted American. They took advantage of a crash (of human cause) of an Nh90 to criticize it and replace the entire fleet with Black Hawks. In the same way that they canceled the French submarine contract to take American ones. Good doggies. Besides, they didn't even wanted to sell their Nh90 or even give them. No, they destroyed and buried them (they were new)

Subs have torpedo tube launched anti air missiles. They hear a helicopter before it can lower its sonar and detect the sub. The helicopter will never know what hit him.
