Spring has arrived in the Smoky mountains and the bears are out with their cubs. Unfortunately the tourists have also arrived. When I was in the Tetons a lady noticed my camera and said she had seen a moose by the river and pointed in that direction. She kept pointing like she expected me to go down there. It was the beginning of Fall and the grass was about six feet tall. I wasn't about to pop out of the tall grass and surprise a moose. She couldn't understand why I wouldn't go down there. Enjoy the snow while it lasts.

Were those two in that spot at the bottom of the hill just before the turn into the Upper Lake parking lot? At some point each year I seem to see a mom and calf there… it’s like it’s a muddy moose daycare or something 😂

These were just right down the slope by the lakeside directly at the car park. Probably the same guys though!
