For those of you complaining about how this gives a negative view of Nigeria. This is obviously a serious problem and those who commit these crimes should be exposed which is what documentaries like this do. Hopefully it will lead to many arrests.

The girl who was featured in the documentary is very educated and well spoken. its a pity that she had to go through her ordeal in Italy. I wish Nigeria can give such a girl and other educated girls/boys a chance by providing opportunities in respect to jobs and training (appentices) in order to increase of success and stop the temptation to go abroad. Many Nigerians abroad both males and females do face hard times and the youths in Nigeria do not realise this until they travel and find out that living abroad is not a bed of roses.

@@mazimadu Because of a general lack of education across families and areas, not because they don't trust the science. For generations they've been brought up to believe one thing. If they learn something different, they are going to ask their parents about it, and the parents will likely tell them that what learned is BS. Or, perhaps, if you have a very traditionalist home, imagine if a kid there told their parents or guardians about science they'd learn, only to be beaten for not believing what they are "supposed" to believe.

Do they do the same negative documentary of western countries? All the do is show the good things in the western world, the glamour of Hollywood rich celebrities, the riches and etc . Why not do a documentary about, high crime rate in America, the drugs, slums, the beggars, kkk, homeless in the western world. "Show a ppl as just one thing and that is what others will believe in,." One sided story about Africa poverty, they will never do a documentary about the riches in Africa, or the development, or billionaire in Africa.

From every angle unlike many of their European counterparts every one of these people traffickers and prostitutes alike are victims. Victims of the poverty, disease, lack of education, and war caused by colonialism in Africa. Many of us would not sell a baby for a few thousand dollars but none of us grew up hungry and malnourished without proper guidance in a school an hour and a half away and the only way to see a better future was trafficking business. We must reserve judgement.

@efesmith1: That is a very wrong assumption to make. Under no circumstance should you make a prejudice statement against a group of people just because you had a bad experience with one. A lot of Nigerians are good people. Lives are shattered because of the broken world we live in and people use poverty as a means of exploiting other people. Instead of making comments about how bad Nigerians or anyone are and arguing why don't you stand up and do something against this injustice and pain.
