Joe was able to block the first 2 kicks but got hit by the 3rd kick then when the 4th kick was coming he was prepared to block it as well but Iko held his kick, use deception, and proceeds to land a kick at the right momentum when Joe lets his guard down resulting in him getting kick again. Then when Iko launched his 5th kick, Joe evaded it instead of blocking it. And then when Joe thought Iko going to launched a 6th kick from below he already prepared to block it but instead Iko used deception again, canceled his kick, and proceed to punch Joe's face which left unprotected.

I meant in this movie. Iko’s character initially betrayed, Joe’s squad, then changed his mind to help Joe, then changed his mind again, which led to this fight scene. Throughout the movie, it gave us the impression that Iko was always on the fence in regards to the situation and showed some hope that he might actually help Joe.

Wearing suite to a fighting is a bad choice.. Iko's character already underlining that fact.. Not only the the rather tight fit would hampering your movements, the tie you're wearing also could be used as a choking string.. As this film has depicted rather accurately..
