Number one rule as a drummer. Never call out sick because you’ll be replaced.
@ActionPackedJack4 жыл бұрын
I've always been told good drummers were the hardest to find of all musicians. Is that untrue?
@wellesradio4 жыл бұрын
ActionPackedJack No, it’s not untrue. But precisely because there are so few drummers worth keeping, the chances are high that your average drummer is totally replaceable. Most drummers are replaceable. There are two ways a drummer can save themselves: 1) Be the best damn musician in the band. 2) Be a versatile multi-instrumentalist. It also helps if you can sing and write songs, but only if you’re willing to play those other instruments on your own songs. Also, don’t do drugs. If you can fulfill the other two and also be Mr. Clean, the doors will be open to you wherever you go.
@liamjr74 жыл бұрын
@@wellesradio I agree with the being clean aspect, but a drummer is someone who compliments the sound and the feel of the music. Being understated is usually the best policy, otherwise the band is based around dramatic drum fills, guitar solo's and bass slapping such as Led Zeppelin, The Who and Rush etc. That is my opinion anyway👍🏻
@wellesradio4 жыл бұрын
