Hey guys. I thought we were all due for a Rules story so I went through some other stories of mine and dug this up. This is some of my older work and I tried to polish it up to the best of my ability, so forgive me if it sounds a little stiff at some points. Anyway hope you all enjoy and have a great evening!

@@esperwtb3788 It was more or a less a way to show he had messed up and made a mistake. That was a consequence of his error. And you can imply the entities were marking him as a target to eventually kill him or take him (like the poor soul in the news.). Which you see at the end when he’s driving away and sees the man with the huge grin waving at him. Hope this helps!

I actually work security at an art gallery, and quite a few of my co-workers are fans of the channel too, so we made sure to mess with our new guy that got hired for his first night by giving him a creepy list last week. @@DannyGamez7 It wasn't really anything special and tbh I can't remember most of them but we basically synced lights to turn on and off just like the list said, turned paintings upside-down when he was he wasn't looking while doing his rounds and had some of our guys dress in black cloaks walking around the hallway. Then we finished the guy off by one of us sneaking into his office while he was doing his rounds dressed in some scary costume under his desk to jump him when he came back.

One thing I think is a missed opportunity for these "Rules" stories is telling a story through the rules. Make each encounter, each ghost, relate to some tragedy or other story you're trying to tell, and have the protagonist trying to figure it out alongside us. Adding some mystery to horror is a great way to keep the reader engaged.

If in the future i work as a Security guard or an employee on a night shift, i would totally follow the rules. Like keep it in my pocket and if it is a prank and like someone with a costume is outside and it's in the rules, i will just act confuse and slightly scared tbh.. It's better to be safe than sorry. No matter what the situation is i'll take it seriously cause that's how the protagonist always almost dies when they think it's a prank.
