I finally made it to Disneyland this week for the first time and was able to ride the NBC themed Haunted Mansion for the first time. Better than I expected! We had a virtual queue spot for late morning and that evening a Disney employee let us ride it again because we asked nicely.

I like how they decided to put up a candle next to the Duck at 4:24 because it was hard to see on its opening days! I tried to get a photo of it when I rode it, and it didn't even show up.

They were going to, until the MK fans didn't like the idea of the Holiday overlay coming. With all the stuff pre-made, they shipped it over to Tokyo Disney and started doing that to their version of Haunted Mansion.

Wouldn't it be more fitting if they did this on November 1? The Haunted Mansion on its own is already perfectly fitting for Halloween. All this does is bring in Christmas theming and slap an IP on-and I think that last part answers why Disney decided to do it this early.

No because the nightmare before Christmas takes place during Halloween and Christmas, they completely skipped over thanksgiving like most places do

Now I can’t do that with the regular theming. I like Nightmare Before Christmas. But if the ride is already spooky in the first place, I’d rather they save this for later.
