Okay, despite my best efforts, it seems like there were a couple of moments when the sound wasn’t quite right. I fired my lead sound engineer (me) and promoted the junior sound engineer to take his role (that’s also me). Jokes aside - what did you think? Are you as excited as I am to see what Faff looks like when it comes back from the body shop?

Congratulations Sam! I'm so happy to see you still have that mustache. Oh, about the E39 as well! I admire you for the fact that you can live like a normal human being and sleep at night with a handbrake cable flying around. I can't. As for scope creep, I get you. I had an appointment for an oil change last week, and 10 days later I'm still E39less, driving around with my old Volvo S60, waiting for some damned coolant lines. Oh, the joy of old BMWs. What would life be like without them? Keep up the awesome work, and, as always, thank you!

Thank YOU very much! I agree with you - normally having something so important as a parking brake cable not correctly attached would drive me crazy, but the E39 will come back directly to the garage once it is fixed up, and I’ll replace it. After all, it can be there as long as it needs now that I have the Mazda as a runabout. Thanks for watching as always! Appreciate your viewership!

Thanks for watching! Educational and entertaining is what I try to do with all of these. And that rubber mat, despite how it may seem, is a huge quality of life improvement. At least, compared to kneeling on cement… one day I won’t have to work on my back. Hopefully soon!

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that most of my cars have the worst-case scenario. If you get the same tool I have and pull the joints out correctly, you may very well avoid the same problem I had :) But just in case, get a wheel carrier anyway.
