The Nikon D7500 might be old but, it's still a good Landscape Camera | Nikon D7500 | Nikon 12-24 f/4

In 2024 with all the new Mirrorless Camera's and lenses coming out we should not forget the past. The Nikon D7500 is still a wonderful camera to use and it takes great images. Sporting the same Sensor as the now famous Nikon D500 and the same Expeed 5 processor, both cameras, the Nikon D500 and Nikon D7500 produce equally stunning images with great color rendition and quality. Pair the Nikon D7500 with the Nikon 12-24 f/4 lens and you have a great Landscape Photography Rig.

That family of cameras was a wonderful addition to Nikon’s lineup. They will have to reignite that as soon many people loved those machines.

Currently i am using d7500 with 18-140mm, tokina 11-16mm and tamron15-30mm lenses. This camera body produces razor sharp images with devastating dynamic ranges and produces stunning photographs in low light conditions

You made some really nice photos with the D7500. You know I often like using APS-C DX cameras for landscapes. My a6700 did great on our trip out west. Back to full frame, I'm hesitant to buy landscape photography lenses for my Z8. Landscape and waterfall photography is where I'm most likely to drop that expensive camera. That's what is so nice about having my used D850. I didn't spend much on it so if I drop it, it's not the end of the world. But, if I want to do landscapes with my Z8, I can use my 14-24 or 16-35 F mount lenses on the Z8 with the FTZ II. I enjoyed your video.

I’ve actually been on the fence about going mirrorless. I’m thinking if I ever replace the D500 I’ll get a D850. We can’t keep chasing technology.

nice to see some nice comments on the 75/500 cameras , Facebook has lots of groups posting photos and people thinking or moving up to these still. in 2024 camares , looks like a new z5 might be on the way? . A z500 would be great but doesn't look like is possible due to market levels

I'm a lot like you Ron...I have tried the newer cameras and they are great! But I don't really need all the eye detect features and numerous other functions they offer..I track birds in flight with my hands and either use Single point or D21 and my D500 seems to aquire focus as fast as any of the mirrorless cameras do...The D7500 in skilled hands can get the job done...I mean you have to ask yourself, do you really need edge to edge focus points for what you shoot?
