Thanks for showing one actually working. My Daddy was a pipe smoker, and would have been 94. I inherited his 200+ lighter collection. That includes 4 Nimrod pipes, and two as a machinist he made himself. Nimrods were his favorites, Zippo being second. One thing though. He never lit it the way you did. All he did was open the tube, and spark the wheel. Then hold it over his pipe and draw from it. Quite easy. I watched him many a day, come home from work, and have this in his regimen to relax. Look forward to seeing your other videos.

Had no idea what it was for brand. Thank you. I have one. Friend gave it to me 20 years ago. He died young and this has sentimental value

I had a Nimrod about 40 years ago. just bought a reproduction, made in China, made of brass and very good quality. Found it on Amazon while browsing through the pipe lighters.

bugmandmj Interesting. What can I search for to find it on Amazon?
@MontyPiper6 жыл бұрын
ThingBlaze I put “pipe lighter” in the search box. Scrolled through to about the 14th or 15th page.
@ Let me tell you a tip!!! You can store one or two flints in the fuel compartment. It doesn't matter if your flints get wet with lighter fluid. Also, be sure to fill your lighter with fuel often. This will prolong the life of the wick. I am happy for you. Cheers... Paul.

I guess this is a Brylon pipe -- a real meerschaum pipe would probably not survive being tapped with a lighter.

I have three Nimrods and lots of Zippos. Great design on the Nimrod but they dry out quickly compared to Zippo.

Does anyone know where I can get a flint for one of these? I think the standard Zippo flint is too small.

There is a reproduction of the Nimrod made in Korea Called the FGT Sportsman "kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4bHomCLh8aBh8U". The original I have in its original package is "leatherette" wrapped on one end. It works well enough although flints and fuel aren't as easy to find nor as cheap as they once were. In the old days, I had a Coleman Stove so I just used naphtha to fill it. Thanks for the video made me fill mine up and try it again but I gave up smoking (including pipe) about 15 years ago.

You spent very little time on the ZIPPO. Most of this video was about the NIMROD, where you bought it, and how many you bought. Not much of a comparison.
