Im hoping that the short front of the dock is so that the little screen part that sticks out plays little gifs and animations. Something like that would be super cool and help this console feel more lively.

I imagine that the special feature The Joy cons will have when they're not attached to the console or grip is all kinds of new enhanced motion control features. And each controller can function as its own individual motion controller as well. So imagine trying to coordinate advanced movement with both hands

It’s either going to look about the same with some tweaks and more powerful specs, or look like a Nitro Deck with Switch in it and smaller than a Steam Deck.

If this is the actual Switch 2 I could see Nintendo pull OLED and V2 Switch models and leave Switch Lite as the only Switch 1 console SKU available to purchase to avoid confusion for parents shopping for a new system for their kids. Aside from the dock and the logo it looks very very similar to the current Switch. A new color might better differentiate itself.

Yeahh, however incase you're not aware, advancements and improvements have been made on lcd displays over the years, so it shouldn't look exactly like the lcd screen on the switch 1, but better (in terms of saturation, brightness etc)

Because it’s a more powerful switch and that’s what people want no special new gimmicks are needed for it to be good and the main difference is how the joy cons connect to the system it still counts as a new console and the dock looks completely different

I am not against that per se, I love the Playstation and I love the Switch...I just expected something more innovative from Nintendo. But if they are just going to go with The Switch as their console going forward, they are gonna have a ton of competition from SteamDecks and all the clones that may easily surpass them.
