I said at the start we weren't getting it until Holiday 2025, but some people have convinced me a similar release to the 1st switch is possible. Not a single bit of reliable evidence has ever pointed to September. They already announced every thing big through, the confirmed, last holiday season of the console. The basis of the rumor was literally "no September direct." Things slow down when a console is slated to be released. Even an October announcement is based on fiscal reasoning, but has counter arguments. Ones that kinda hinge on backwards compatibility. To be clear it's either October or Spring no in between. And when I say the arguments for October hinge on backwards compatibility, I mean if there isn't backwards compatibility the chance of a reveal next month is zero. Not that no reveal in October means no backwards compatibility.

It's like how Nintendo hinted at throughout Smash Ultimate about a new Ice Climber game coming, and I'm more confident about it being HAL Laboratory than Masahiro Sakurai. The most obvious hint being from March 26, 2019, where two Condors from Ice Climber are in Nintendo's official illustration for the Smash Ultimate Spirit Board Event "Kings and Queens of the Sky." Two Condors = Ice Climber 2? I thought for sure it would be revealed at E3 2019, maybe to come in 2020 for Ice Climber's 35th anniversary, but all we got was Banjo & Kazooie posing with the Ice Climbers, Kirby, King Dedede and Meta Knight. I'm hoping it will launch on Thursday, January 30, 2025, Ice Climber Famicom and V.S. Ice Climber North America's 40th anniversary. Next week pre-TGS is still a possibility. All they have to do in order for it to not mess with Echoes of Wisdom and other coming titles is confirming backward compatibility. And one thing that I could expect, if the trailer or first look event confirms backward compatibility is either an announcement tomorrow or Saturday for first look trailer or event Monday OR an announcement Tuesday night for a first look trailer or event coming Wednesday. That could’ve been the reason why some devs and publishers were brought into NoA earlier in the month and why bigger partners were comfortable with acknowledging the system without directly acknowledging the system. The higher ups know it’s coming pre-TGS, so they’re already acknowledging some things in a “it doesn’t exist yet, but yes” kind of way. I mean companies probably have a TGS contingency plan in case Nintendo doesn’t reveal anything before TGS. But they’re probably betting on it being revealed by Wednesday.

Nintendo's only statement on when is "within this fiscal year". That means it could be revealed as late as April. Don't assume times, especially not with Nintendo. Of the three main console producers, Nintendo is the best at keeping a lid on things like this.

I think when it comes to Palworld. I think they took some existing animations, and base designs of certain Pokemon. I don't think they're going after mechanics/ gameplay loop. Digimon is slightly similar to Pokemon and Monster Hunter Stories is similar to Pokemon as well. Capcom copied the Pokemon Go formula for their Monster Hunter app. I think Nintendo might be in the right personally. I might be in the minority but I think you can't take assets from a game and just change it a lil bit and say that's not copyright infringement, because then Vanilla Ice should have won his law suit for ice ice baby.

Well I hate to say this but you brought the disappointment to yourself. First, you over hype random sources that show no credibility. Most of the leakers have been wrong this year on most game details until the day before the announcement. Even Sony and Microsoft had leaks that were wrong this year. Second, you think more of a gamer than a business person. Nintendo has the reveal planned out since the tweet earlier this summer. Possibly even before then. We know it's happening but, Nintendo doesn't want to give up on the Switch. They still have not lower prices because it's a high demand system. Announcing a new system before the holidays may hurt sales for both hardware and games. Regardless, we know it should be announced no later in March. Until then let's enjoy what we have and keep moving until the announcement happens.
