I watch them because I live on the other side of Baru (the mountain) where I have been building my ranch the last twenty years. It is interesting watching them go through some of what I have, and seeing how they deal with things. I did most of my construction using rebar, concrete, and steel.

Congrats, I have a good friend that has lived in your region for awhile now as well. Our place is south of Jordan & Kaylee's. Purchased our finca back in 2017 but have been in the military aircraft world since but now time to relax and smell the roses. Have been doing some building there since so no more Arbnbs for us 😅. Praying will be making a quick trip in a few days down to renew our Cédulas and do some more work on our place. Have 2 large dogs that require their import process as well. Blessings

@@VeRSINGOnTheGo when you get to construction I might be able to provide some advice from experience. One of the things I do is build on concrete and rebar foundations and footings and then use concrete columns to support the different floors and ceiling. I/H beams can be used for longer spans needing more horizontal support. You can build something different in Panama than the USA but you should always ensure your engineering is paid attention to.
