I really appreciate all of the different functions of Excel. I do not think I would be comfortable doing this on my own but I'm glad I have the videos should I ever need them.

+Megan Blackwell I feel the same way. I believe that if I were to try this I would end up with incorrect information. I do appreciate the videos though should I ever attempt to do them

Very thorough, not too difficult to follow, and cohesive. As a visual learner, I really liked the charted representation of the distribution, as well.

I liked the breakdown that this video gave. It makes things much simpler to grasp when they are broken down step by step.

I really appreciated how Dr. Grande broke down all of the different functions in Excel. Watching him calculate each function from column to column made a lot more sense than just watching normal PowerPoint slides with definitions. The only thing I would have liked to see along with this Excel sheet is maybe one slide with the formulas written down so I could conceptualize the Excel data more.

+Jessica Muzzin Great idea, Jessica. Having the formulas handy would help me to be better able to grasp the whole process and would be a great reference for future use.

I like the fact that many of these formulas and statistical analysis can be calculated in Excel with the ability to keep the statistics in an organized and easy to read document. The video was helpful to learn the differences between the functions with easy and concise step by step instructions.

Jasmine Aviles yes i do like that as well.

I liked the examples in this video, it helped me better understand the concepts. Dr. Grande explained everything step by step which will help me in the future when using Excel.

I was nervous as first because I didn't know what NORM.DIST referred to, but I was happy to learn that it was normal distribution, which is a concept I understand. Again I appreciate coupling information I know about with new material to help me understand the new material better

I had a harder time following this video, but it shows how excel makes calculating data really simple. I would need to watch this video (along with others) a few more times before attempting this on my own but these examples were really helpful.

This video was easy to follow and understand the normal distribution of GPA's. The percentage of chance for normal random variable was interesting to learn. There were numerous steps and formulas that I will not remember.
@mandabear522898 жыл бұрын
I too thought that relasting it to something that we are familar with such as GPA was helpful to understand how this relates to a real world variable. There were a lot of steps that i wont remember as well. I guess something like this just takes practice to learn.

Very cool to see how you can find the normal the distribution and compare it to the GPA set! I actually enjoyed this video despite all the formulas!

I like how organized the data collection is as well as your step by step instructions and demonstration. I am not very confident in the technical aspects of this, so I would struggle a bit trying this on my own.

Very helpful. All of these functions seem to come together in this to show findings of all the data.

The norm.inv and norm.dist score explanation was helpful in understanding how to interpret the two together. The norm.inv calculation seemed redundant until he talked about wanting to go from a percentage to a score.

Interesting video, it gives me a good overview of the Norm Dist. and related functions in Excel. I'm afraid I would need a lot of applied practice to become proficient.

Melissa, I agree that this video was complex and had multiple functions that would need to take additional time to fully get a grasp on how to perform this function effectively and proficiently. I think this video will be a good one to save for future references. It definitely will come in handy.

Each of the functions in this video are explained and demonstrated well. However, I don't feel too confident operating excel or calculating this on my own yet. This would definitely require further practice.

Excel is a very intuitive program which I have used for a number of things, this would take some practice to get accustom to the functions and the language/prompts.

Like I have said these videos are very helpful in grasping a better understanding of how to get the scores, but until I can actually do it, it really is falling on deaf ears. However, it will be helpful in understanding the information needed for class and quizzes.

Not being to familiar with Excel this was a bit technical for me. I would have to watch the video again a few times before I would be able to do this on my own. However, i could see how being able to do this would be helpful to really get a good look at the distrubution of a set of data.

There was a lot of formulas in this discussion. It would be nice to have a cheat sheet for these examples. I tried writing them all down, but I am not sure I will recall what each formula is for after watching this video. Each section builds off each other which gets to be confusing.
