The Norrona Lofoten GoreTex Insulated Jacket

The Norrona Lofoten GoreTex Insulated jacket. We talk about what the jacket is all about, how it can be used, how it fits, and all of it's features. The video also shows examples of layering with it. This jacket is made for skiing, snowboarding and various mountain activities, but also great for just about anything. For reference, I am 6'2" tall, and 215 Lbs. The jacket is a size XL.

I found the ladies version also cut slim. At 5’6” /128 I had to go to a womens Large.

About midlayers for this jacket: Can you please review the Arcteryx Hallam merino wool shirt and hoody. They look great but very expensive. Not sura are they suitable as a midlayer. Would like a full zipper on my midlayer.

Just bought one! You think this would be ok at -5 F if I wore a Merino wool base layer and Patagonia r1 mid layer under?

I would think that you would still want a warmer insulated layer under it, but I guess that it depends on what activity output level you are doing. -5F is pretty cold. The jacket has room under it for a heavier layer, with just a base and a R1, it may be a bit roomy yet inside, allowing for more cooling airflow.
