I've been loving the North Face's new Vectiv Enduris for long trail runs as it bridges that line of responsive yet comfortable with it's good amount of midsole and plate protection. The rocker is also super reminiscent of older Pearl Izumi trail shoes like the Trail N3 or M2 which have long been discontinued. What do YOU think of The North Face's new offerings?

i just want ginger runner to narrate more things, set to his music. It would be just so soothing, like an american version of The Shipping Forecast
@wildiceadventure3 жыл бұрын
I have no idea why, but the idea of the shipping forecast having an international audience gives me the warm-fuzzies. Like everyone cares just a little bit about the conditions of Lundy or Dogger.

These shoes are, by far, the best I ever run with. I tried Hoka One One Speedgoat, La Sportiva Akasha, Adidas Terrex Agravic Flow, New Balance RevLITE... They are so comfortable and have an amazing grip. The only issue I found was the durability of the mesh, but to be fair, I ran in some pretty technical terrains and made about 500 km in 3 months. I'm using now the Infinite version of the Vectiv series. They are pretty amazing as well and de Matryx reinforcement must fix the mesh issue. Great content @thegingerrunner! Cheers

I am hoping that they are a good bridge for me out of The hoka line as I’m having issues with those shoes. I need something long distance, I’m just not so sure it’s going to be hoka after all. Just got mine, took them on a sidewalk run. These are a rollllly boi. Fit is good out of the box (don't listen to the half size down suggestion, order what you wear in Brooks or Asics). Front of shoe roll is dope, rocker heel is...conspicuously missing. If you like digging your heel in for traction you might be unnerved. I normally run in Brooks, with a long narrow foot & high arch. Good lock down for thin feet, no toebox bunching. Little bit of an inward roll towards under pronation, see if it goes away after I break them in. Red color is actually neon coral, which is better imo. Laces are a little ribbony. Will report back after I destroy them.
@lh35403 жыл бұрын
still breaking in: they have little bit of a pigeon toe roll; they could stand to level that off. Unclear if it's giving me toe strain or not. The tongue gusset isn't a huge issue, they could stand to have one of those front lace loops for lace tension/gaiters. "turn on a dime"; they will not. There is too much laminate material on the heel. This is the most confusing shoe I've ever tried. It's like, I'm not sure I love it, but I hate the next pair I change into after it???? One weird thing is that they fix your posture. There is something in the roll that makes you stand up straighter and alleviates some hip pain I didn't even know I was having.

I have about 175 miles on this shoe. Didnt notice any break in feels. Felt good out of the box. Tread wore significantly in spots after 116 miles. The tongue moving is bonkers! I tacked the tongue in place with my sewing machine. keeping this in my rotation. I want it to work out!

Thx for the review!!! I just bought the Enduris, going to try them this week ...but... White trailrunners?????.... those were my thoughts too, maybe it is to show how good you are at cleaning your shoes after a trailrun? The colorway does reminds me of the Altra Olympus 4 white/black (and orange accents) colorway (isn't Altra a TNF company now?). @thegingerrunner have you tried the Endorphin Shift? it is my favorite of the Endorphin line (and for now my favorite roadshoe), I'm hoping they are going to make a trail-version of the Endorphin lineup.

Good to hear about the Enduris, I've a pair of the Flight Vectiv's & was wondering how the Enduris would compare, it sounds like a winner for a larger pool of runners all round 👍🏃
@SantoRedentor2 жыл бұрын
In my case I bought these shoes and I HATE them. This rocker thing is so unstable. I twist both of my ankles multiple times every time I run in a minimally technical trail with them. And I had never ever twisted an ankle before. I can see the appeal of the rocker when you run in a wide path, but if you have to do "sideways" steps, especially in descents and in Rocky terrain, the rocker literally tries to roll my foot to the front and out, effectively twisting your ankle. For me running on these shoes is downright dangerous. I'll use them on easy terrain and I'll cross my fingers for them to wear quickly. Of course I'll never buy a trail shoe with a rocker again (might consider it for the road). I'm surprised that nobody commented similar experiences. Is my case so rare?
@noridenmo50133 жыл бұрын
