I remember when the North London Line went to North Woolwich. It was a slow and dirty line at the time but there was a good railway museum at North Woolwich station and from there you could (and still can) walk under the Thames or take the Woolwich Ferry. The line is much better now the Overground have taken it over.

This used to be one of my local lines many years ago, back when the service was a two coach class 416 every 20 minutes. I've lost count of how many times West Hampstead station has been refurbished / rebuilt since then. It's a pity you were only on the Pride train for about 30 seconds, as West Hampstead and Finchley Road & Frognal are very close together

Thank you for this great video ! I also really like the colourful Overground trains. I use the East London line of the Overground daily, and the names that have been conjured up for the various lines making up the Overground system are absurd, and just political nonsense. The name coined for the East London line is the Windrush Line, which is daft. The Windrush refers to the ship Empire Windrush which used to dock at Tilbury - miles from any station on the East London line ! My fellow passengers and I will continue to refer and use “The Overground” ! Enjoy your walks and I look forward to your next video!

Last time I was in the London I did the entire Overground in a day! Of course, I didn't get to see many of the stations like you did Jen - that's for another time. One that comes to mind is Crystal Palace. There's a lovely privately run cafe inside the grand old station building so, when you finally get down that way be sure to stop for refreshments. I found myself at Willesden Junction a LOT on that trip! It's not pretty but I finally came to appreciate it - like you appreciate your washing machine really - it's there, it does a job, then you ignore it for a while.
