@Temmie Plays! I am aware. Doesn’t make it any worse. In fact, this is better than American Boy.
@niyah0002 жыл бұрын
@Temmie Plays! That’s not how remixes, interpolations, samples, or covers work tho? This song is so different from American boy because it has punchy and sporadic lyrics along with a hell of a heavy bass and a loud beat. Also it’s rap and that resonates more with some people because American boy just wasn’t their taste, even though this is pretty much a remix. Chug jug on the other hand was a cover where all they did was change the lyrics. If you think they’re the same I question how old you are. All in all tho it’s all up to personal preference so this was pretty pointless

I absolutely love how everything about Pete & Bas & Company is always equal parts silly and serious af. And regardless of what level of their performance is based on themselves as people in real life, they totally take what they're doing 100% seriously. They're into it. They aren't just actors hired by an agency, they're old guys having the time of their lives and putting in work. The live shows are inspiring. They elevate rap music with the effort they put into their craft. They're more than a generation older than the people who started rap music decades ago, yet they're Freshmen coming into the industry strong. They're nearly twice my age, almost as old as my dad.

Unironically the greatest song I've ever heard. It's dark because it's true, but it's funny because all of these lyrics are a 100% accurate portrayal of discussion topics between close male friendship groups, but only the inner circle. it's the unwritten rule "If you're going to disclose anything... it must be funny". What do you find accurate about it? I found there was an interesting tension between the world the lyrics imagined (funny, nihilistic, cool, aggressive) and “reality” (sometimes ^ those things, but diluted by many more, less intense features). I think the artists being old men kind of make that juxtaposition more apparent because they can’t possibly be living the life they’re speaking of.

As a gay yankee who’s passed some time in London (and all over the world) this is part of why I love England so much. The radical self acceptance and creativity spanning into later years on in life is inspiring and destigmatizing toward what aging looks like. Yall keep having all the fun.

Since I've discovered this song I've been listening to it constantly. At some point I thought I might've gotten bored of it because I didn't listen to it for a while but then I just listened to it again and I'm hooked now.

These lads are brilliant. And for a couple of retired school teachers In their 60/70s have great talent. Actually great rappers and very funny. They know what they're doin, and yeah its a piss take, but brilliant. Never to old to have fun or to pursue a dream.
