And to be fair, you only say that because alot of the bad from this generation is forgotten- plus, we've got the internet. there's a much lower barrier to entry, so more amateur and shitty music. essentially, back then, there was a big filter stopping anyone from making music - needing either talent and luck, or connections and money to make music and get it big. Modern rap has plenty of classics -TPAB, IYRTITL, TFS, GKMC just off of the top of my head. It's hard to look at past music objectively, since the best music is remembered the most, because of its greatness.
