I feel the loss of the claw wasn't a failure on your part. It was probably just his body's way of dealing with something like an infection. It will probably help the channel too. It shows the challenges of keeping a lobster, adds drama and the regrowth is fascinating. I wondered if it would wait till the next molt and how it would catch up with the other in size, whether it would have any permanent effect, why he keeps the inside of his claw after a molt if he can grow them back and why the tail notch persists. So much to learn, and he will teach us.
