The Nova Gets SPRUNG (Dangerous) | Nova / Camaro Front suspension Tech

This time on SPPTV Rob switches up the front coil springs on his 1974 Twin Turbo LS Nova to give it some height after swapping to TRZ front suspension components which lower ride height by design.
All coil spring work should be done with caution and we do not recommend you do this yourself unless you are an experienced pro like Rob.

Rob I've used air tools using impact gun you just need to be really careful and slowly pull the trigger of the impact gun 🔫 I never had any problems ever.

Also I don’t use those spring tools I just set it in and just up the control arm . Engine weight should hold it if not use chain around jack and frame

Keep the rotor on the top control arm next time time then u don’t have to bleed brakes and risk the hose … cheers 🍻 looks good

Had a similar trans issue with a 4l80e, torque converter slightly hanging. Installed the Sonnax Line to Lube valve Part No. 34200-14K and fixed it, also helped with cooling.

Remove the bottom ball joint to remove the spring. Pivot out and to the side the rotor/ brake assembly. Now you have to bleed your brakes!!! Why?

Ya you need the less then hammered springs in case of the almost once per drag strip trip Wheelie... Its a must to have the good springs if Wheelies are a real possibility.. don't want to twist the frame all to shite in the front.

Those springs should transfer some weight to back for sure the way it lifts pretty easy!
