whenever I consult with a group of people when we try and figure out what to charge I can't help but think of this bit. taxi_thnumber_cm01.mpg

Louie's commitment to being a vile and despicable person somehow is hilarious!

I have looked for this clip for years. Thanks for providing it here. It is one of my favorite comedic bits of all times. De Vito is genius. I play this game in my head when setting prices on my art work in galleries. Lol

I love how after 40 years Danny DeVito is still basically the same. Only he doesnt wear a tie.

Every episode was an excellently written, acted, and produced televised play. They rarely even left that set. TV viewers were so spoiled back then.

The figure Louie eventually settles on would be about $80K in 2020 money.

Still not sure that would be enough to rebuild the apartment (drywall, insulation, wiring, floors, appliances, kitchen cabinets, bathroom fixtures, furniture) and also all personal items

5 million dollars, 5 MILLION DOLLARS! (Twins)
@simonjack96993 жыл бұрын
Huh in the episode from this particular clip Jim said his father thought it would be two hundred thousand not $5000000 and also Lewis said $500,000 $500,000 twins. I don't know why people are trying into convert money that was mentioned on the show from the 80s into what is now in 2020 who cares just enjoy the comedy

Which episode?

its the episode where jim burns down louie's apartment. That is all I know. Quite frankly its much more valuable as an instruction tool for price negotiation.

@jonathan leslie ~ Outdoors with the Morgan’s channel, Melissa made a comment about the money number, like Louie Depalma style...when her husband talks about buying the next expensive model up of a portable sawmill.
