We were specially invited to the July Jamboree because they noticed our meatball subs at the last event we did... but it RAINED! Both days! All beef standard dog, flat bottom roll. Both items steamed. Paul's red relish out of NC. Off brand sodas, different chips. Offer different condiments. Finish off with sauerkraut and chili. Sit back and make money.

Add Strong Hospital in Rochester there is a hot dog cart in the daytime is 80 year old mother makes special chili sauce it is so good. I have not heard zweigles mentioned Red Hots and white hats it's all over around where I live in Western New York but I don't think they have them other places I really think the s a l i n e hot dogs with skin are better especially when they're crispy

Not far from me there is a plant that makes lunch meat, hams, kielbassi italian sausage, etc. They have a retail store out front. I was talking to the girl that made sausage in there one day and asked about a hotter hot sausage, she said "I can do that" so she made me roughly 25 pounds of it, I actually got a discount because I bought 25 pounds. She told me she could spice the sausage any way I wanted. I just had to order it a day or two before I picked it up. I'm sure that you could get hotdogs made to your specifications

I live on Long Island sabrett is the main dog here along with boars head that you’ll find at the hot dog trucks. I grew up on sabrett still my favorite of course with the natural casing but I enjoy all good quality dogs we have Karl ehmer dogs a local butcher , there’s some great dogs out of Brooklyn to I have a sabrett table top steamer with the umbrella that I got about 20 years ago always a big hit when I set it up at my bbqs. I also enjoy a Vienna beef Chicago dog with all the fixings. It’s all good stuff I really enjoy when I travel to find the regional favorite dogs with the local toppings. I am craving a hotdog 🌭 now. :)

If you're going to sell steamed or boiled from a cart, nothing smaller than a 10 to 1 (10 to a pound) and choose a brand that keeps its flavor and won't split. In Chicago, there's a meat packer called Real that's popular with vendors. You'll have to find a distributor, just call the meat packer and ask. From someone in the wholesale business selling to pushcarts for decades.

Koegels hot dogs from Flint, Michigan my man are WORLD famous. ALL local vendors and restaurants use them in their coneys and dogs and even the snow birds that go to Florida want family to send them these top of the line links to other states. Their Viennas use natural casings for that snap and they are outrageously good!

@@tomtom7299 Yeah buddy, I went through school from Junior High through graduation with one of the Koegel girls who lived in the neighborhood by me. They were good people and their factory is still right here by the airport in Flint. All of their products are tasty and worth trying for sure!

Ben The more I watch your videos the more I learn. Regarding your advice on selling "your" brand of hot dog, I think that's a great idea and I don't think it always has to be a " name " brand. But I would have a good quality ALL beef hot dog and then use name brand condiments ! I have seen restaurants use cheaper brands of condiments and they taste awful and I thought the same thing boy how cheap !! You have sage advice for those getting started and I just received your book today " hot dogs saved my life " and will be reading from cover to cover on my cruise next week.

🤔 Personally as an aficionado, natural casing is the way to go. Boars Head all beef un-cured, in lamb skin casing are excellent. Usingers of Wisconsin is excellent, as is H & H meats. Most great dogs are made by local families in northeast cities which have eastern European roots (Italian, Jewish, Polish, German) whose families compete for local business among each other. By their nature these are NOT national brands, but they are the best. Taste and a rejection of adulteration should be the criteria of the vendor. By contrast, any national brand is 💩.

I use sabrett all beef natural casing hot dogs, their umbrella bring me business, now, if I can not get sabrett hot dogs i use black bear all beef natural casing hot dogs, very close taste to sabett s, some of my customers like the black bear better, shop rite supermarket in my area is the only store that sell black bear all beef natural casing hot dogs, sabrtte aare all ways first choice I tasted the hot dogs before I started. Hebrew is the most sold Costco Hot Dog! I know in our state Costco doesn’t sell Nathan’s at their concessions! They’re huge long beef Hot dogs with a ton of snap! It’s more like a sausage than a Hot Dog! Dogs are best at the ball game or other large events! Who ever that vendor is has the best Dog! Sysco has the absolute best chedder cheese sauces! The Best! I wish i could buy a cam of Sysco Cheese! We would love to taste your dogs!

Absolutely you can. Give your customers what they want. I would always recommend to do Brightleaf if you're in the that part of the state (red dogs) and another regular hot dog.
