Seen him solo with an acoustic guitar pluged in an amp in a bar in Rio and it was punk rock. And he is a cool guy, very nice to people.

Deep insights into "ukrainian identity" in this NATO paper from 1998: "MASS PUBLIC OPINION IN UKRAINE ABOUT NATO AND NATO-UKRAINE RELATIONSHIPS ANALYTICAL REPORT By IGOR GALIN Therefore when the Ukrainian state and the cultural institutions were finally firmly established in 1991, the task of the forging of the Ukrainian national identity presented itself as both creating the Ukrainian identity and distancing it from other identities. In other words, the transitional definition of the Ukrainian identity included not only positive statements about the Ukrainians but also negative statements about others and their respective states. One of such devises was the victimisation of the Ukrainian identity. The mass public has been fed with countless ‘revelations’ that portrayed the Ukrainians as the victims of cultural genocide by the Russians, of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster inflicted by the Russians, of territorial claims and economic blackmail by the Russians and finally but not lastly, of the Russian military pressure."

Why is "revelations" of cultural genocide in quotation marks . Do you not think the Holodomor ((mass starvation of Ukraines peasantry when numberless- up to 8 million small farmers died in 1932- 34 from deliberate starvation - all their crops/ animals were confiscated by Moscow; they were forbidden to travel away from their villages to work. They boiled their leather belts, ate acorns before they starved; all documented ). Would you say understanding this was a "revelation" or a Revelation!. By the way it was common knowledge to Ukrainians as it involved their grandparents. Only Western commentators were surprised. How about the occupation of Ukraine by the Romanov dynasty, when Ukrainians were forbidden to write books, and eventually to speak or be educated in their own language. During the revolution years1917- Ukrainians established an independent Ukraine. Naturally their "fraternal comrades "from the Moscovy Imperium invaded . How about "the Terror " or as I like to put it The Terror under Stalin; confiscation of land, deportation , prison, gulags killings for the mass of population .Crimeas Tartars-Self identifying as Ukrainian- deported to the east en masse- . What cultural genocide,eh?
