Seriously seedy & mysterious late 80’s/early 90’s LA vibes here. And I’ve been fucking loving it since the first time I saw this flick when I was 17 back in ‘90. Time is a creeper.

Wow. I've found it. Your the best. I was looking for this song on E-bay this morning. I took my bro to see this movie at the cinema in Milton Keynes UK in 19 ? I've got the soundtrack to the movie. But this song was missing. Gutted. One of the best in the movie. I still live this movie in my head. And The Nymphs are always there. Sweet. Thanks for posting. I'll show this to my Bro. He'll love it too. Fantastic.

So glad they cast Rob Lowe as the villain in this movie and not Spader as they had initially intended. Rob Lowe nailed it! In fact, it's his finest ever acting performance. Imo.

The Nymphs fit right in appearing in this mainstream movie scene, complete with Rob Lowe saying the band's name. They reminded me of a band the "trendies" would go check out, just like this scene shows. All the upper middle class beautiful people in the crowd, acting as if they're edgy. I used to check out bands every weekend in Hollywood and O.C. in the late 80s through the mid 90s but I never got into this band. A girl I knew had the CD. I heard it once or twice but their music was boring. The only song I thought was decent was "Imitating Angels".

Why did the lady at the end seem into michael when the "cool" chicks were thinking how much of a square he was? Was there some sort of symbol there? Was she desperate, too?

I love this film. It has a true "noir" vibe and a dip into the deeply scary part of LA in the late 80's into1990 (the "bridge" year). My thesis (just tonight) is that the Lowe character is a con man, and the bouncer here and the woman may have known Lowe and been in on his scams. Or then again, she could have just been high off her head.

@@maureenmurphy7817 Interesting. Seems like Alex (Lowe) swindled the barman too, by saying he was in the Navy (it's alluded later on in the movie that they were both in the Navy, though not made clear if they knew each other from their Navy days). Or, if they both did know each other from the Navy, maybe the barman was consciously helping Alex out? I would guess Lowe tricked the barman into believing he was in the forces. Any thoughts?
