Operating from 1987 until 1999, the Mid Night Club was one of the most notorious and highly respected street racing clubs to ever grace the Wangan highway between Tokyo and Yokohama. The leader of the Mid Night Club was an anonymous person who drove a Porsche and he held the nickname Blackbird after what he named his car, in order to join the Mid Night Club, your car had to go over 160mph and in order to be competitive you must be able to go over 200mph, note the Blackbird had the fastest car in the entirety of the Mid Night Club, the reason the Mid Night Club was disbanded, was because of a accident involving 6 motorists being hospitalized, the Mid Night Club members were known to have high morality and honor, thus they were respected by most people including the police force, they disbanded as a form of respect for those hospitalized during that accident.

Open world, variety of cars, two maps (L.A. and Tokyo), all sorts of mods, you could even get hydraulics for your muscle cars, the cars themselves were divided into different classes and gave you different abilities to use to your advantage. You could do burnouts, get on some roofs even, a lot of jumps to explore, breakable windows in some buildings, cool shortcuts, multiplayer and a ton of game modes. It essentially was ahead of it's time, if you ask me and it's a shame, that the franchise isn't that popular, because it deserves it.
