Most of these are pretty much a reach. I remember seeing conspiracy theory videos about that Jabu jabu (the fish guardian) and Lon Lon ranch could be 'symbolic' to form the name Jabulon. I think sometimes people look to deep in the symbolic meanings of things. Like with the green tunic and hat for instance. Is there seriously no one that makes the connection with Peter pan?! Link literally has a fairy by his side and grows up in a world where kids stay young. The reference couldn't be more obvious. Of course granted this is OoT, but just to make a point.

@@dagdathe Rayquaza is basically a symbol of divine intervention as well and the Regi's symbolize balance. There is a ton of Christian allegory inside of Zelda as well like in Breath of the Wild it mirrors Revelation on how it says there is 4 beasts that surround the throne of God as well as the elders that surround the throne which are symbolized by the monks who give you the spirit orbs. There are tons of Biblical allegories in the Zelda franchise because it was supposed to be based on Christianity before they brought it to the West and decided it would be too controversial to keep the Biblical aspects as in your face as the first Zelda did including the Holy Bible in it which was changed to a plain "Magic Book" in the English version. Mario is another symbol of God as well as he represents Christ, Princess Peach is the church or the Bride of Christ, and Bowser is the Devil. It's the same for Link, Zelda, and Ganondorf.

The games are not entirely made by Miyamoto though. Ever since OoT Aonuma has played a significant role in the series. And I'm also willing to bet he's more responsible for the mystic and esoteric themes that later became to define the series. However, in the latter open world games it seems very sparce. Unfortunatley.

Miyamoto has always been in the camp of avoiding story, Aonuma also kept a loose approach and Fujibayashi seems into straightforward plots (besides time traveling). On the other side Koizumi for example wrote some of the series' weirdest story elements in Link's Awakening and Majora's Mask. But I find it funny to suggest that any of it has to do with being smart, reading into mythological signs and numbers has never been a particularly smart thing to do. Building fiction with cryptic lore and all sorts of myth references gives an illusion of depth. At the end of the day the writers/designers just make shit up with gorgeous designs as a pretext to explore, and the fans interpret whatever they like.

It's a retcon, just like a lot of other parts in Tears of the Kingdom that don't line up with the lore of the other games. Also he's not a goat, it's moreso implied he's a dragon humanoid. Not a goat. Also Light can also just be a reference to you know? The element of light? Maybe the divine light of god even. The lightbringer reference you give seems to only have basis in the fact it's called "light". A word with a massive variety of applications. Usually actually in contrast to darkness. Which means he's probably a good guy, right?
