The Ocean Collective is truly one of the major metal band of our time, hope they will get the recognition they deserve... they are a bit what Aphex Twin has been for electro.... Going relentlessly through each emotional/style process/steps of metal music without any considerations for maintream influences. Hope to see them one day as recognised as Tool!

The Ocean is over here "quietly" talking about some of the most real phenomena of the world that so few people ever think about. It's not just that they are so human, they are so terrestrial. Like literally and metaphorically down to Earth in a way that everyone should be.

Robin did say that this album is the missing link, musically, between Precambrian and Heliocentric, plus this the first song on the album. :)
@demorez55 жыл бұрын
@@rabidsquirrel912 sounds like bullshit to me. Heliocentric is clearly focused on humanity, while Paleozoic ends like 300 million years before that. And there still the second part of the Phanerozoic album to be released. So there is still a few million years to cover in earth's history until we reach humanity's appearance. saying this is the missing link between Precambrian and Heliocentric is like saying The Second World War was the missing link between the Roman Empire and Trump's presidency.
