Tyler's getting a lot better! He's still not as good as Cody, but Cody has years of practice. The video itself looks great, too. Bringing in Tyler as a narrator has proven a great decision. Looking forward to future essays!

Fine line between Genius and Madness. Especially when he was known to have obsessive compulsive disorder. He may have even been autistic (Asperger's Syndrome) before it was known. Tesla may or may not have been as smart as history claimed but he did inspire innovation and ideas that others benefited from. *sigh* I used to find tesla interesting, and we studied his work extensively in school. But this new found attachment crackpots have to him has really soured me on the topic. It has become an almost religious thing, with people legitimizing any number of fridge ideas by trying to assign it to tesla. Which is a pity since he did really great stuff, but his actual accomplishments have been utterly swamped by the mythology that has popped up around him. There is also the irony in people trying to focus on his legacy have shifted so many other even less well known inventors and scientists to him. It is almost like we can only acknowledge 1 person per domain per century or something. Even before his new found attention he was one of the most famous inventors of his period.

Nikola succeeded, but Thomas said he didn't understand American humor, so he angrily left. At least, I think that's how it happened. This is the true story Nikola Tesla, without dramas. Nowadays, Kids are worshipping Tesla for building that childish sci-fi Tesla coil and they like to imitate his bizarre personality. If you're really into science he was just a ordinary eccentric man, nothing more. Not the greatest mind in history or man with the highest iq (there's no official iq test for him) as most kids say. I respect him for what he did with his 84 years of his life on Earth, but I also dammed shame on him for so many stupid guessworks he made, that most of which were scams. He was just randomly handpicking the ideas that pop-up to in his head, and he also mocked the most important modern scientist, Albert Einstein and his works which are observable truth. First time I read about Nikola Tesla, i was about to like in his works and his oddness. But Tesla's fans...😥, those ignorant Tesla's fans are so annoying!

At long last, finally a simple and factual video on the man.The mythology surrounding Tesla seems to be growing daily. Most discussions lead me to believe that there is a new religion growing with him as the Messiah. It seems to go something like this. Once upon a time a man was born with an intellect so great that no other living person has ever come close to him. He performed many miracles and was totally altruistic. A cabal of devils by the names of Edison, Westinghouse, and Morgan, in league with an evil government, sought to exploit his inventions, suppressing those which would have liberated us, and ensuring that he died virtually unrecognised and in poverty. Only a filthy version of his perfect inventions, which allowed the evil capitalists the greatest wealth and power, was ever allowed to be made. If only we had worshipped him in his lifetime, we would now be living on light itself (I shit you not). Amongst his miracles we may list The miracle of radio, far in advance and more powerful than anything Marconi applied. The miracle of wireless transmission, which had to be suppressed as this would not allow the evil capitalists to charge. The miracle of the death ray, which governments were too stupid to recognise. And finally, The miracle of free energy, which would allow every human being access to unlimited power in spite of the laws of thermodynamics. I think I want to spew.

+GlobalMapping "Ja sam ponosan svoje Hrvatske domovine, i Srpskog porijekla" ~ Nikola Tesla To dolazi iz usta samog covjeka, ajmo narode razlaz, imaju se radit bolje stvari nego debatiranje nacionalnost i mjesto rođenja covjeka koji mrtav vec preko 70 godina. Bolje debatirat buducnost nasih postenih drzava kaj ne?

Why wasn't it mentioned that he was a Serbian. They only sad that he was born in Croatian region of Austrian empire. If he was an Austrian or Croatian they would mentioned it.

Salad Ass he was Austro Hungarian because there was no Croatia and he was not born in Serbia.
@saladbruh26257 жыл бұрын
cillcamst2 you can't say someone is Austro-Hungarian those are two nationalities. And he was a Serb because his family was Serbian.

If someone is born in Mexico with American parents, they are Mexican, not American. Tesla was not Serbian when he was born in Austro-Hungary. If you want to apply today's geography to this (which is in itself flawed), he would have been Croatian.
@saladbruh26257 жыл бұрын
look on Wikipedia it says that he was Nikola Tesla (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Тесла; 10 July 1856 - 7 January 1943) was a Serbian-American[2][3][4] inventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, physicist, and futurist who is best known for his contributions to the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system.[5]

You forgot to mention that he was Serb, son of Orthodox priest, born in Austrian Empire, territory of today Croatia. It's hard to make video about something when you're so ignorant on level where you can't even present correct origin one of worlds greatest minds. All you had to do is copy-paste wikipedia page... "Nikola Tesla (Serbian Cyrillic: Никола Тесла; 10 July 1856 - 7 January 1943) was a Serbian-American inventor...." ..."Born and raised in the Austrian Empire"....

@9786oof7 жыл бұрын
leifinissen it's not irrelevant, it's a huge part of his identity. He's an American immigrant coming from a country he can't return to
@kirbyfan6587 жыл бұрын
That doesn't really apply here. If he had been a croatian instead of a serb it wouldn't have made a big difference. Also those dicussions happen with no other scientist, because their work is so much more important than their nationality. I don't see the reason to exclude Tesla from this, therefore the serb/croat debate is irrelevant.

Well, I understand you're a Turk(it's not hard to figure that out)..so you hate everything non-muslim, I understand that also. What I don't understand is why are you here, you should be watching some beheading video and shouting Allah-uekber(or something like that). After all, this is educational video(to some extend). You gave no facts, you're ignorant. I can realize you're probably some fat and lonly peasant working in Poppy field.
@4VPme7 жыл бұрын
In reply to: leifinissen I agree, probably it wouldn't make any difference if he was Croat. But, if you make educational video it is important to get those basic facts straight and not rush in making a list of all wrong things he made in his late life after everyone fucked him up. Also, just tell me how would some average Swedish guy/girl feel if you told them that Alfred Nobel was a Finish? After all, it wouldn't make much difference in his life or carrier if he was Finish or Norwegian, wouldn't it?
