My headcanon here is that people used to think of cgi faces the way that we think of AI today

There was a very cool tech demo on the Commodore Amiga called The Juggler as well, it had raytracing and reflections on a home computer in 1984-1985! It's an incredible showcase of power. There's also a interesting early music video called This Brutal House by Nitro Deluxe from 1986 that was certainly something, but it's got a funky song!

You need to calmly not talk so much. Your being racist to me and your hurting my mind. So, would you change yours. Huh. Yeah. I hope so for the better lifestyle that you have for me. I am of certainly different than you. I am not English. So, for certainty. I don't understand why your voice is so terrible.

if you adjust older game prices to inflation they've always been 70, or even more, most are on between 75 to 95, the real problem is the lack of a reason for them to be worth it that publishers deserve to get paid the same amount than for older games

Its for stock buy-backs. They don't actually care about making games. They care about making money.

I love mid 90s CGI because it has a nice charm to it and it's part of my childhood.

I grew up with old VHS tapes of "The Mind's Eye" 1+2. My very young, very confused brain didn't find them horrifying so much as amazing. It's what made me fall in love with early CGI shows like Reboot.

The entire purpose of the Xbox being created was to be a trojan horse for Microsoft to dominate the home entertainment landscape and being an all in one box for movies/shows/games/music (we're talking about the initial pitch in 1999). Unfortunately by 2010-2013, that ended up not working as intended and was very close of being flat out shutdown completely over 10 years ago if not for Phil Spencer. Now that period is coming to a close and they're looking to retire it for good this time around and focus on the software side in the future as a third party distributor for services.

Pointing out the funny points of this show as negatives is pathetic. Frasier's "god complex" and inability to apply his own advice to himself is what makes the show funny. Maybe you missed that?

2:00 "but they are encased in glass" and you show device that actually don't need to be in glass. I mean, It is not "transparent", because Voxon Photonics volumetric display is just screen moving very quickly up and down (I am not sure if it is display like LED display or (probably more likely) white screen on which actual image is displayed via standard projector).

Heres the thing. Sure, these business school graduates can be smarter than us.... but in their particular field. For example, if you put a business graduate in charge of, say, a maintenance department, they won't understand why so much money is needed. Because they have never worked ON THE FLOOR. When you work on the floor, you understand why things cost as much as they do or what works best. So they may be really smart at business stuff but dont understand a bloody thing about game development or how to make profitable games.

This is the issue. Studio gets invaded by non-gamers and DEI hires. Studio makes game. Game is anticipated and revenue is PROJECTED. Game launches. Game is woke. Game is rejected by gamers. Studio blames gamers. Stupid loses ability to make good games. Games are ruled by politics instead of creativity. Studio dies. Studio and Gaming Journos blame gamers. Another Studio gets bought by corporation with woke mindset. Rinse, Repeat.
@Mr.Dinosalt5 күн бұрын
So they open up their games to all platforms and luckily have already bought a ton of studios to make games. That means that instead of Xbox the console and game company we'll be left with Xbox the Game Studios
