Heres some questions to ponder. Is the universe infinite? If so then If its possible to beat these odds once then why not again? Why is it that life is limited to only one time only? Where is it in our understanding of reality that any of us as an individual cannot possibly exist again? Despite the impossible odds, here we all are, so it is possible to exist. So why only once?

I get it, but it all seems kinda silly to me. If I don’t exist, I don’t know or care what the odds were. If I do, by definition I “won.” The odds against it happening are pointless.
@HassanAhmed-rf9xr Жыл бұрын
Yes but it still matters. Does a baby who died prematurely understand that he 'lost'? That a suicidal person also understand that they 'won'. We can use mental gymnastics but it's simpler if we just go with either lost or won. The odds aren't for the losers mate, it's for us the winners. The dead, the non existent and those that are inbetween are all for us to compare our odds of existance. It's really for us to compare. The same way it's silly to think that a non existant person would get triggered by this video, in my eyes it's silly for you to even consider those that don't exist because well like you said they don't care. If I don't have the concept of lottery, just being a simple grasshopper should I mention how they don't 'count'. Or how some humans can't find simple clean water, would they count in the lottery odds? Still we know the probability of winning the lottery is low. I for as a muslim wouldn't even consider going to the lottery and many others like me wouldn't. That takes out a small chunk of the human population already. See things just get complicated if you complicate things. But really we're lucky in of itself that we have the mental capacity to compare ourselves to animals with lower mental faculties.

When you say "You", who exactly are you referring to? "You", meaning the body? Or "You", meaning the consciousness behind it all? If "You" means consciousness, what exactly is consciousness, and where does it come from? The odds of us being born is all academic. The real questions should be, who are we really? What is our true nature? What is God, and where did God come from? And why is there something rather than nothing? You were either going to be born or you weren't. There are no odds involved. If God encompasses everything, that includes us. And since there is something rather than nothing, of course we exist. How could we not?

@Steve197201 God did not come from anywhere. To come from somewhere, means you did not not exist where you already are. If God came from somewhere, then what is that 'somewhere'. If God has to come from a different place, then he would not be God, that 'somewhere' would be God. The answer is, God was always here, and always will be here, he had no beginning, he has no end, he is before infinity, and after infinity, if you can comprehend God, if God has to come from 'somewhere', then that would not be God. The reason God is worthy of worshiping is because of this immense power that he manifests and holds. He is beyond our limited and finite Brain capacity.

That’s an intriguing way to see it, but that’s also like me saying the chance of me going home and finding a million dollars are 1. I go home and nothing. Let’s say we run this in a simulation in a trillion of the same universes, eventually one you will find a million dollars in your bed in one simulation, and in that universe you say “The odds of me finding the million dollars on my bed was 1 as it’s on my bed as predicted” well in the life your in then, correct it was, but if you look at how many times you ran this hypothetical scenario it’s much lower. Same with life, you may think it was 1 because your existence but there was billions of chances you wouldn’t be
@jartho3996Ай бұрын
@@unidentified5390 The thing is, if there is any universe in which you go home and don't find a million dollars on your bed, then if you run the simulation in a trillion of **the same** universes , you will never find the million dollars. you would have to change something about the universe for something different to happen. so chance is basically just how particles were arranged at the creation of the universe

I thought this video was more about how wonderful it is to be a human being. Such a complicated body. So impossibly complex, those immune systems. Then there's the phenomenon of self awareness. Death is certainly something I should fear. And yet, even here there is wonder, stacked on wonder... Jesus says "Eye has not seen nor has ear heard what God has prepared for those that love him" Paul gives some explanation of how that next life comes about in Corinthians.
