Despite the religions being posed as an interpretation of truth, for some reason so many of them have either harmed,misdirected,confused,omitted or hindered actual progress of what is the genuine truths due to dogma or other unecessary limitations. In all of human history there hasn't seemed to be any truly incredible event that is known of either that had a lasting effect on reality. If you look into origin of alot of religions you might see that some of them almost seem defined from the start to be just a path to going in circles. Almost like (((somebody))) wanted this to happen.

I really don't get the fear many people have of there being no 'afterlife'. You wouldn't be bummed out in the least because you wouldn't _be_ . It always struck me as absurdly narcissistic to expect that once you're born into this universe that you should somehow live forever while every other 'lesser' living thing just comes and goes. We go too, get over it.

The thing i struggle with is the idea of a all loving knowing god not knowing the basics of ethics. How could you send an amazing, kind, compassionate person that did nothing but good on earth, such as dedicating their lives to helping others and not publicising it to hell just because they didn't follow a religion. I've heard a lot of Near death experience on KZbin and every single person had a similar story of just feeling peace and speaking to an entity that was so kind and loving. I do believe there is a god, and an afterlife, but i don't believe this god would send someone to hell forever because of their faith. i have this feeling that this god loves all and will treat us will love and care as long as we are kind and do/try to do good on this earth! But I'm also in this epiphany where in the scriptures mention things such as the solar system and discoveries that we're not made unitl recent, so how did that also come about!??!
