Hi nice vid and job job well done. Would appreciate some more details on the gaz straps holding the upper part of the cat flap ( Nm, length, position of mounting points). Great V8 sound. Go ahead. Heinz, Germany

Thanks for the kind words. The spec label’s have long gone off the struts,l. Length (bolt to bolt) is 555mm They mount to to a bracket on the bottom hinge bolt on the cat flap and to a bracket that sees them approx 110mm from the top of the tub.

Hi there, your rig looks just great. I wonder if you can tell me which model of dumpers you use for a cat-flap tailgate and how you attach to the body., pls?

Haven’t got any part numbers or otherwise, but all the details are in a question/comment below.

Keep up the good work. I own another ex NZ Army V8. Have owned it for almost 14 years now. Mine is running H.C. Stag heads, fast road cam, electronic ignition. Mine is as fast as a std military v8 towing a big trailer as well even on Lpg. My fuel economy improved 12% after the motor was overhaulled and upgraded. Are you a FB Army Landy v8 member?

Thanks Phill. I was impressed with the fuel economy (I’m easily impressed as it’s easy to improve on terrible). Not a member of the group but might have to have a look into it. I’m hopeful tThe Offender will be around for the long term here too, even with the recent “incident” which will be part of a video in the future once it’s all resolved! Never a dull moment apparently.
