The Daryl storyline is insane. How are you gonna hit on a guys girlfriend right in front of him. Even if he’s a so so boyfriend it’s just disrespectful. And then Val just shows up in his picture with his kid. That’s just wild for someone you’ve never even had a single date with.

I won't argue with anyone who says season 8 is not great, since it has a bunch of problems that have been creeping in more and more since season 5ish, and a lot of the stuff revolving around Florida and/or Andy and/or Nellie just fall completely flat. But when Robert California is hitting, which he doesn't always do but does enough, he's the most fun thing in the final third of the show. It's jarring seeing him next to David Wallace who, despite his brief unmooring in the throes of unemployment, represents the sane groundedness of earlier days.

The Andy story nearly ruined what was a really good episode. It's just stupid, and the intervention scene strained credulity. Bad, bad, bad.
