@@hazukichanx408 my coworkers and i always joke about house, which we pretty much all grew up on before going into his field. hes a smart guy, but his wisdom is limited by the amount of actual effort the house MD writing team is willing to put into researching medicine for the show... lol. which in a lot of cases is not very much. and even less so for the licensed DS game, as you can imagine. i absolutely adore the show, but its fun to make fun of when you realize that all the characters are basically always talking out of their asses and saying either very surface level medical things or things that are straight-up wrong.

holy damn, this game is horrifying house calling a girl trying to treat being abused/ maintaining her mother's standards while suffering from undiagnosed diseases at the time using stolen pills as "attention seeking" before 'correcting' himself lmao She was only using them because she felt depressed, knew her mom took them for depression, thought it would help her too I can only imagine how many kids out in the real world have fallen into something like this at one point or another for those who knew or know they won't be able to just go to the doctor whenever they're sick because their parents wouldn't take them, i hope you find solace "What do you mean you're depressed- You're living a good life, (-insert familiar repetition of their trauma, to remind you it could be so much worse and you should be grateful-), now that's real depression.
