Coincidentally I just got back from a 2 week long trip from China, quite frankly a lot of things in this video are inaccurate. First, don't bother with commercial VPNs (including ExpressVPN) as the government has aggressively cracked down on them very recently as part of the 70th anniversary. Just pay $20 for a Hong Kong sim card instead and use it as a mobile hotspot. You will not get in trouble if you are caught attempting to connect to a VPN service in public (I did it multiple times), but they will almost certainly not work. Save yourself the time and $$$.
