After taking anatomy classes, I understood why, so now I try my best to sleep early with all the lights out. so far my mood has gotten more positive and don't feel like shit all the time.

Mia Yeah, I feel you. At one point after high school I became completely nocturnal, and not seeing sunlight for weeks (or rather, not seeing it until right before going to sleep) really, really messes with your brain. Lots of seemingly reasonless feelings of depression and days where I just couldn’t sleep. All get better once I got back into the 16 on/8 off habit, and going to bed at reasonable hours.

I'm the opposite. Being nocturnal was the best choice I ever made. Finally not cranky and anxious all the time from forcing myself into light, barely-usable sleep when it didn't feel right. I also work at night now, and it feels much better for me.

in medieval times, middle class and higher people commonly slept twice in the night. Keep in mind with the oculus quest. It doesn't have modded beat saber and vr chat which is 90% of what people play on vr. Another thing is it only runs at 72fps/72hz. Which on a normal game is perfectly fine, but if the world around you at 72hz you'd get notjon sick pretty fast, 90h is fine, but less seems jittery and like you're moving your head under water. The fov being only 95° more exacerbating the tunnel look where there's just massive black areas out side the screen area really ruins immersion. It's like your in an old fashion divers suit. The vive and other are 110° with new headsets going as high as 200° and 120hz. If you want a cheap vr experience right now the best choice is the windows mixed reality headsets, the dell, lenovo and Samsung ones match or exceed the specs of both the oculus and the vive for less than $200 with inside out tracking like the oculus quest. So no sensors needed to be set up.

Andrew Is right, to film an actor picking up a red or blue ball could take only ten minutes, while rendering all that could take maybe an hour or two. But, say that scene depends entirely on who you chose earlier in the show, and let’s say there’s 30 different “actors” who could’ve made it to that scene. Filming each one at ten minutes would take almost five hours, plus you’d have to pay each of those actors. While you could render the scene in about two hours, say it only take a couple of minutes to change what ai model is used. That would still save time and costs, as instead of paying 30 different actors, plus directors, stage crew, etc, you’re only paying a team of 5-15 animators Edit: And yes I know, this *isn’t* a realistic option as of yet

“Going to bed only when you’re sleepy” doesn’t really work. You’re day-to-day schedule is always going to be different and you’re not going to be tired at a consistent time. Not to mention irregular sleep schedules aren’t healthy anyway. It’s not just about “getting 8 hours” but when you get up too. If I only slept when I was tired I would sleep half as much. Because I’ve built a tolerance staying up so late that my body is used to it. If you scheduled when to sleep, your body will adjust and get tired then. But because I go to bed inconsistently I don’t really get tired unless I stay up hours beyond that.
