Batman city was named in 1950's and the lawsuit happened for the Nolan movie Batman in 2008, so no, they didn't name the city first but I doubt they named it as an intentional scam 60 years in advance. I think it's just a case of the dude first hearing about Batman given the popularity of the Nolan movie and being like "money, money, money, must be funny" without doing any further research on if the comic came out before the renaming of the city.

Oh my god, that discussion about games was painful. Bethesda's games were an absolutely terrible example to refer to when thinking about graphics. If you want one, look at Metro Exodus and tell me that games' graphics haven't advanced and aren't. Also, what Andrew said about polygons. No... it never was simply all about upping the number of polygons. You don't get good graphics simply by subdividing a mesh - if you ever used Blender you would notice that within seconds. What he said is an incredible understatement. That was from an article, so, guess that's one shitty article. What Kaya said about the tech demos. They're tech demos. Tech demos are interactable or non-interactable demonstrations of technology, in this case graphical, and they don't necessarily apply to games, and, even if they do, it doesn't mean they're gonna be used any time soon. It's just the developers stretching their abilities and seeing how far they can go, and if that can be used in any practical way. I also disagree with him saying that there aren't really many interesting PC games. I think what he really meant is that there aren't many interesting triple A games, which is kinda true, but really there was an understatement when he brought up that video of God of War, Tomb Raider and Spider-Man's combat. Combat has nuances that can't be explored in a quick video. I can't speak for Tomb Raider, but it makes sense for Spider-Man's combat to be that way, after all, its series was the one to introduce the "Arkham" combat style, hell, even improved on it *a* *lot*, which is why i think it can't be fairly compared to the Arkham games. As for God of War.. it's a hack'n slash that doesn't feature the same dodging mechanics as Spider-Man. Not a fair comparison.

Making games with these insanely realistic graphics will put you in the spot Crysis was when it was first published: looked amazing for it's time but barely anyone could play it. Also if consoles can't run it, half your market is already gone, and at that point there's no way you could finance a triple A title in the first place.

I think Kaya might be confusing tech demos and games. Tech demos of graphics are usually pre-rendered and take several seconds (sometimes even minutes) for a single frame, or they render a single person in real-time on specialized hard ware. In modern videogames you can't have photo realistic renders of every little detail like in the tech demos, especially not on the average consumer pc.
