You can't buff mercy because her whole design is to make op dps even more op and unkillable. It's true for every season, pharah, cree, soj, ashe etc. It's extremely obnoxious and people definitely over exaggerate how bad she is, someone must be paying something good to flats to say mercy and dva are bad every single season. Dmg boost and rez are so stupidly strong and her heal beam takes no aim and no reload so a 100% uptime making dueling her pocket without a mercy yourself borderline impossible compared to other supports as you can't bait anything out of her. Realistically the best solution to making her better would be a rework to everything but her movement. A good rework idea would be a combination of the 2 custom patches, the creator one and the mirrorwatch patch, where dmg boost is the rocket things so she isn't just standing behind a wall and actually doing stuff, this would also allow for higher skill and better movement as she would be dpsing instead of just running away and would allow for her to be the first sort of flying support hero that can actually do stuff with it. Rez being the necromancy style from the creator patch would make the ability less obnoxious as if you put your resources, cooldowns, ults and 1 member of your team into killing a hog just for her to pop valk and get a guaranteed raid boss respawn at full health and cooldowns, it would help tip the fight in her teams direction without it being broken. Buffing mercy would probably break the whole game into no one wanting to play it in her current state and they have the changes I suggested already designed and implemented so it would take very little work with probably a couple small changes.

One problem is the homogeneous passives. They just lazily splash the same passive across the class without even thinking on how it affects each character. The reliability of applying the dps one for example is vastly different between ones like Bastion and Sym vs ones like Pharah and Junkrat. They made a similar mistake back in WoW when they started making all the classes basically the same with the health changes.

As a Hanzo main i entirely agree with that ranking and your reasoning. Like playing him sucks right now because the assassin playstyle isn't what it once was, but i won't say he's not objectively strong, especially if you bend to playing the Reapzo playstyle. I'm actually worried about the Hanzo changes they mentioned in the Spilo interview, because if the only thing they do to change him is give him back his one shot, he'll definitely become overpowered due to Storm Arrows and how easy it is to hit headshots now. Like as fun as it would be to run around deleting everyone i come across, that would get boring pretty fast and I don't want my fun to ruin someone else's experience playing the game. I also don't want his already bad reputation to be worsened by players who just start playing him because he's OP. If they buff his damage they need to also nerf storm arrows and either revert the hit box changes back to pre-season 9 or limit the one shot's range to like 5-10 metres or something like that.

For all I care, if he can get the one shot back, I don't mind if they change the arrow box to pre season 8 and remove storm arrow for a new ability. If they don't entirely remove storm arrow, maybe make the count 2 or 3 so he doesn't melt tanks. No one likes playing the reapzo playstyle and right now hanzo gets too much value from storm arrow and too little value when he doesn't.

I used to be Mercy one trick and Lifeweaver was my 2nd pick. The moment they fell into being worst supports in the game was difficult for me to switch into some meta picks like Kiriko and Ana because I had problems hitting things as Ana and Kiriko was just not fun for me at all... now it's even worse as I hate and I can't play Bap, Ilari is so stupid boring for me and Lucio is just above my abillities to play him. Most likely worst support meta for me right now so I'll be probably moving to main DPS... would go for tank as well buut yea it feels bad playing it :/

And because that, i propose following rework: reduce the pull range, but pull more often. Additionally make pull need to have a pre-placed thing. Now he can heal less without beeing shit, he cant ruin your plays quite as effective, whether you are an enemy or a teammate and you could probably make it so he doesnt have his heal-jump, but can pull himself, so you can force that cooldown out by attacking him. And that we are far, we can also say he can only pull to the plattforms, and that is one ability, which includes, lifting it up, giving him more versatility, and we made him use one ability less, by that, so now we could give him anotherone, maybe of offensive nature

As a high rank Hanzo main, I agree with you about Hanzo. He isn't all *that* bad in terms of damage *numbers*, but he feels like ass to play. He's kind of ok, until you start running into higher HP targets that can outpoke or outmaneuver him. Before, it was a question of skill in winning those engagements, but now you just don't have a chance. As far as feeling like ass goes, think of it this way: they took a projectile sniper, which appeals to a very certain type of player, and you turned him into a tank buster. This is like taking Doomfist and turning him into Mauga. Hanzo's shots are not easy to hit, and if you hit a headshot and that target lives, or worse kills you, you will feel cheated every single time. As for myself, I have stopped playing him in ranked, because it is rarely, if ever an enjoyable experience. Hanzo players get upset because they don't want to hear anybody say Hanzo is ok, because they take it to mean he'll stay the same way as he currently is. He's also not good, he's just not terrible - this is completely different. Most Hanzo players would much rather the hero is mid but fun, than decent but boring. I am in this camp as well. They could completely delete Storm Arrows, give us our one-shot back and I'd be happier than I am now.

This is I think the 26th or 27th season of Mercy being bottom of the pile and she still hasn't been buffed KEKW. She had a brief trip to the middle of the pack during Season 3 of OW2, but aside that, her last actually good state was like pre-Baptiste launch in OW1. You don’t understand how miserable the game becomes when mercy is strong. Damage boost just breaks characters, rez can be a win button, and has strong movement. Also the character requires zero mechanical skill to get value, at least bap has to aim at the floor with lamp.

TWO best changes that have made games a lot more balanced are for sure Kiri and Souj. 100% I love playing weaver, literally my favorite support, I love and HATE the pull I think they should have him put a pedal over top a player before being able to just pull. That way you can see if the player wants the pull or not. That way it’s a better chance for a smoother pull.

Issue, this makes it so that the weaver isn't the one able to skillfully snap his teammates away from danger this means he'd be submitting a formal request to pull them, and then he'd get to pull them in 2 business days when they accept it

@@Lugiamaster075 yeah that’s why I said, it would suck in a way because weaver is all about knowing when to pull. I think a great tool maybe is to have cancellation maybe. Like you go to pull and if you press it again, it will let go. I don’t know. I’ve just learned a lot with other heroes that I’ve naturally just have gotten good at pulling at the right time. For me I VERY rarely get people who complain about my pulls. The hero I will VERY rarely pull is Mauga. If I know he doesn’t has his E, I’ll pull him. Other than that, I have to just trust my tanks to make space.

My main problem with support aside from the best 3, is it feels like they're flattening unique support gameplay and different play styles, and they don't seem to have a clear vision of what support does. A lot of the utility focused supports suck, and finding Moira utility got cancelled. So I don't think it's utility. They nerfed burst heals, and the DPS passive makes the high heal characters focus on heals. The low heal characters just don't heal enough through the dps passive. So it's not healing. They're still nerfing supports survivability, so it's not staying alive forever. And future supports will have less mobility, so it's not even zoom zoom simulator.

I was good with Cass since I've main'd him since like season 6. But for some reason this season I am just awful, can't hit shots or explode. Every game being against a genji is annoying but that was the case previously too. And I don't know where all the absolutely cracked Cass players have come from. Sometimes they're a smurf (not often, that's usually other heroes) or sometimes they just have 3k hours. Pretty sure I had 2 games in a row against one using a triggerbot despite not noticing any chearters in my previous time playing OW. As I said partly a skill issue on my part

Honestly this season has been the season to send me back to my WOW origins lol. I bought the Pink Mercy bundle not bc I really play her a lot but because I want to support the cause. I played maybe four games with her and in each one at least one person from my team threw a fit about the Mercy pick and either threw the game, hid from me to purposefully die, etc -IN QUICK PLAY, not even in Competitive. I don't know how people find OW enjoyable. In a way I feel regretful I even bothered starting to play because the community is absolute dogshit.

You have to be basically either in Valk or the enemy team ignores you for some reason. @@accuratememin yes, rez can get canceled sometimes if you go for ones in stupid spots, but it’s still useful. you’re forgetting about the times where mercy can pretty much just get a free rez on a widow in an uncontestable high ground spot or from way behind a wall because the range can be ridiculous. ball is a bad example, most characters can’t reach mercy and CC her out of the max rez range nearly as fast as ball, he’s genuinely good at that. obviously if it’s a brawl or dive comp then mercy will be unlikely to get a rez off. she has always been more poke oriented. damage boost is only single target, yeah (outside of valk), but it is still very unique and powerful and has no cooldown. and as for the healing, not gonna argue about that, it sucks, she’s garbage at keeping people alive. she is a weak support for sure, but “no utility” is not one of those weaknesses, that would be more of a weakness for like moira, illari, or brig. biggest issues are the garbo healing and lack of damage which kinda obligates her to just dmg boost pocketing a good dps

Mercy is hard to balance because she's too easy. Anyone can play her. Her rez is either easily able to happen or impossible. On poke you can guarantee. On dive it's not gonna happen. Damage buff can break chatacters if messed with wrong. What can you possibly buff about her without making her a brain dead problem?

I understand that a lot of people enjoy mercy not being good and I know she’s oppressive when super meta but all I wish for is for her to not be a throw pick in higher ranks, I get that a lot of people have the sentiment that it’s an easy characther and that’s true but I don’t get the hate for mercy mains? I'll never forget a Mauga i was against that kept running into our team w his charge & killing everything, the thing is he should've never been able to play the game I had a Dva, Sojourn, Bastion, & I was Ana. I always anti'd him as soon as he used overdrive but my bastion always wasted turret or had awful positioning while my Sojourn had no thumbs & my Dva on her own adventure Gold is the rank where i had a rein NOT want lucio speed, a Echo that ONLY wanted heal beam no dmg boost, & a teammate that said why am i playing widow on Circuit Royal...Metal ranks are something else man

If the risk-reward ratio for genji is so low reward and high risk, while also being very mechanically demanding to make him work, that makes him lower than B. That doesnt make him B when theres many other heroes who can get the same if not better value WHILE being less mechanically demanding.
