It still gives me goosebumps till this day when I hear a Limp song! Pure madness and loved every minute of it! Good time to be alive!

@@lucasmendes6735 yes indeed it was! The journey alone was insane and escalated rapidly once we had arrived Thursday. We had drove 1,800 miles to get there! There is a lot of stories! Some people wouldn’t believe them!But one of the most epic events I had ever been at! ✌️

It was crazy when every one was throwing water bottles. Some asshole threw a full gallon and hit me right in the head and cut my eye brow open. Still I think offspring was my favorite part of that weekend. I will never forget RHCP playing Stand next to my fire as everything was burning. Great weekend, happy we survived.

Yeesh that was rough. Instrumentally I think we can easily blame the sound mixing, throughout Woodstock 99 the live mixes were horrible, but damn these vocals.
I’m guessing they couldn’t hear each other or themselves very well. But it makes me feel better about my singing in the shower

A canção "The Kids Aren't Alright" de The Offspring é um comentário sobre as duras realidades da vida e como é difícil para os jovens seguir os seus sonhos e sair de um bairro desafiante. A letra segue as histórias de várias personagens numa única rua e reflecte sobre as lutas que enfrentam. O refrão transmite a ideia de que por muito potencial que estas personagens tivessem, as suas hipóteses eram desperdiçadas e os seus sonhos despedaçados enquanto as suas vidas se tornavam frágeis e sem esperança. Esta canção serve para lembrar que nem todos têm um "final feliz" e que a vida pode ser difícil de navegar. Na aplicação do Ensino de Filosofia em sala de aula, utilizando de outros recursos além da lousa e do pincel, podemos usar a música como um forte aliado, na análise dessa música podemos tratar do tema: A busca pela felicidade e suas complicações, o qual pode ser trabalhado na visão do filósofo grego Epicuro. “(...) Vidas frágeis, sonhos destruídos (...)”. Esse trecho visto na visão do filósofo Epicuro que tem como propósito atingir a felicidade, mostra a dor desse jovem ao ver seus amigos “destruídos”, amigos esses de uma mesma rua, um sem emprego, outro morto por overdose, outro cometeu suicido e outro apenas na mesma rua usando drogas e tocando guitarra. O conceito de Epicuro mostra sua busca de afastar-se da dor e aproximar-se do prazer, sendo essa a melhor forma de separar o bom do ruim. “(...) Nada é grátis (...)”. No que se refere a esse trecho da música pode-se notar a insatisfação em relação a noção de felicidade, onde tudo se tem um preço, nada é gratuito, e esse jovem sem seus amigos recorda dos bons momentos de sua infância, na qual tudo parecia ser tão bom. Numa sociedade marcada pelo que o ser humano é julgado pelo ter e não pelo ser.

There was a ''Woodstock 99 Live DVD'' at the time. That performance was on it and completly remastered in the studio. Vocals and all, LMAO. So punk to re-record your live shit!

I remember these wild times. I was 19 in 1999. Kids today probably have no clue what a mosh pit is. I mean, in hindsight, they’re pretty pointless…and dumb, but body surfing was always fun. I was one of the light guys, so I surfed high and far.

16 year old here, mosh pits certainly still exist, but nowadays the youth align more with hip hop than rock, so at more wild and crazy artists like Playboi Carti’s shows the crowd goes absolutely wild like these shows from the 90’s, its not so much that moshing has died down it has just switched genres and that’s bound to happen in 20-30 years time

well Dexter's a great studio singer, he just writes songs that are way too hard to pull off live because they're all right at the top of his range. He kinda shot himself in the foot in that regard, but it doesn't look like he's bothered!

I’m glad I saw them live just a month ago, and his voice was exactly like in the studio. You cannot judge by one video that you don’t know what might have happened there. It was the best concert of my life and they are now close to their 60s!

Whoa! Boy, dem struggle vocals. lol. But everyone is having fun and that's where it counts. I heard this song on a commercial and remembered I had heard it years ago. Then, it was just a song to listen to when it came on the radio. I didn't know the lyrics and based on the commercial it was in I thought it was a workout anthem of some kind. When I heard it I was like, wow I have to find it and the thing that stuck out the most was the voice. Long story short I found another song with him singing and then I found this song. The lyrics were sad as hell and nothing like what I thought. But a great song none the less and there is something about his voice that allows him to sing it the way it has to be sung.
